So they’ve sold over 43m shares to open a short at these levels? I don’t think so
Bluerill, what a pleasure to read your well informed posts. They all make complete sense, especially your knowledge of how markets work, and concur with what I’ve gleaned from a major holder of this undervalued company!
More likely the case. 5.5 was the level just before the Magna deal.
And Brown is not buying the shares himself. As a SEE non exec, and employed by LO, any trades LO execute have to be reported. And they’ve purchased shares three times since the 5.5 trades so very unlikely they suffered redemptions
Cannacord is a nominee so will have several clients holding C4, not just the big seller
The seller, as I said, was badly handled when first appeared. Very little volume because major buyers needed clarity of size of order, which wasn’t disclosed, so price drifted down on little volume as we knew there was a big seller about. RG & LO would have bought them knowing order finished.
It looks very much like the finish of a big, badly handled seller, who has been around since the summer. Having taken price down from 40+ to sub 30 a decent bounce should be inevitable. I’d expect some RNS holdings announcements soon to identify interested parties. Buyers could be RG, could be LO. Anyway, pressure off.
I thought VELO explained it well from a chart perspective. Add a fund raising at 110 and it's not really any surprise!

That's a cross - matched buyer and seller. Buyer set the level. Should explain today's weakness.
Seller was half that size
What looks different is that the buyers give you the feeling that they are longer term rather than the punters who were looking for a quick profit on the announcements. The number of times I spotted the same block being sold within a few hours is very frustrating. The price should be higher, and it feels as if it's heading that way, in a more controlled manor. Hopefully.
Totally agree. A little gem after their reorganisation. The only factor holding them down is that there's still some retail punters from old who haven't got the patience. Once they're out of the way this will pop nicely.
Don't worry Monty, you're not alone. As mentioned below there is a trading pattern here, and I hear from a reliable source that this is partly explained by a large inst. seller. There are some massive profits even down to 150 if you supported the rescue rights at equivalent of 25p, so each time they advance ahead of figs the seller reloads. That will hopefully end soon and we can enjoy the ride.
