I haven't often seen that posting pattern with CGH or anyone else. Thanks for the reasoning, and yes, I agree the buys are not a bad sign. My 10th year with these (nearly), heh-ho
Anyone explain four successive days of RNS??
Good point. It remains my ambition to prove one day that most of the PPI payout went into the pockets of those who caused the problem in the first place (or as fees to their pals in the compo industry). Don't hold your breath though ha ha
Re your comments at 1015 …
Is there any way that a run of Sales (see Trades this morning) could actually be purchases to close short positions (the shorters having been defeated by the refusal of many to believe all the artificial doom and gloom)
Well I thought it was a great RNS this morning ...
well said and multiply it by a thousand and you have the entire AIM market
well said. The STOB drop from the 120s to the 70s was once of the superficially obvious cases of SP manipulation in the last year. Unusual with such a blue chip. Dai
The 12506 sale at 10:11:04 today is a BUY, not a SELL as shown. Dai.
but no RNS - anybody heard anything? Dai
Are there any chartists on this board who can estimate the resistance in the mid 20s? I guess there are a lot of PIs like me who - having suffered the systematic SP drops over the last year - will be pleased to just get their money back, let alone get out at a profit. Hence the sales in the last 24 hours.
with lepracauns - does nobody administer this fin industry? This is lying to your face.
75, 80, up 6.5. Anybody heard why?
There was an SP surge in January 2008 which failed to materialise in 2009, so the difference between a short-term target of 60, say, and the higher but longer-term targets mentioned below will depend on what happens in Jan 2010. And since 2009 was a very depressed time we can now be more optimistic, I think.
..... you often find that aggressive accumulation coincides with a drop in SP rather than a rise (although only the cynical among us would suspect collusion between the agressor and the MMs in this respect).
I share the broad optimisim here. It might be worth noting three minor bullish peaks in winter 07/08 and two in winter 08/09. If this seasonality is repeated we could be looking at SP around 60-70.
Agree with killthe bear's advice in general. Then work on the principle that the spike to 100 was manipulation to make the offer discount look good.
Here's a possible relevant technical question - how easy is it for the potential bidders in a take-over to have the MMs "in their pocket"?

Anybody know why?
you've only got one tenth as many shares, I think.
