Before some see a chance to deramp shouting brine in the well....
"These transient peaks suggest the presence of helium saturated brine throughout the system with potential for free gas to form beneath sealing units.".

It appears helium gas has been entering the well while mud is stationary, when stopping to add drill pipes and shows a temporary peak when drilling recommences. Bubbles in the mud could be an indication of free gas flow(to be proved by wire-line testing). The gases being carried in helium saturated brine...

My guess is that we are below 500m and either in or looking to re-enter that zone around 560m. They have said they are going to wire-line test this zone but not said if that would be before drilling to TD.. I would not be surprised if they test sooner rather than later especially if its a significant zone. It would be good to have a discovery announced before TD or any other unexpected events..But that is just my musings..

I have similar take
the basement is producing helium at a rate that is charging the traps/seals faster than they leak.
The deeper you go the lower the permeability is for the same rock at shallower depths.

Maybe should have asked about funding without biasing towards risk

Your probably right there...
But a really simple rough estimate....
1st show, 19th june--6:30pm local time on Saturday, depth of 70.5 metres SHOW
2nd show assuming July 6th (Mud video where bubbles were mentioned by posters)
Todays RNS Visual indication bubbles at ~560m
So 19th-6th ~490m/18days, or approx 27m/d

We might be just half way but what do we have an RNS with a title including
Helium Gas Show Confirmed
As measured by the on-line gas chromatograph
The gas show continued to increase over a thickness of 9 meters, until drilling halted
Show supported by indications of gas visually identified as bubbles
Fingers crossed the wire-line testing results in a discovery..
At 20m/d they will be back in that zone by the weekend

Its a bonus find

They have issued an RNS saying drilling is continuing and the price still dropped 20%.
If they issued an RNS saying drilling had stopped, they were attempting to recover sections of drill or were considering options then it would have dropped even more.
So waiting was the right decision

another positive from the RNS is that it is confirming interpretation of the siesmic data..
"we've got light areas in the red sandstones which could potentially be bentonite beds"

There is a map(figure 6-7) with coordinates page 103 of admission doc.
My estimate of the coords from that page is 36M 427100.0 9075000.0, which for google maps translates to -8.367621747931697, 32.34151102090538.
