Trading Commences on the OTCQB Venture Market in the United States

Argo Blockchain (LSE: ARB), the leading cryptocurrency miner based in the UK, is pleased to announce that it has received approval from the OTC Market Group Inc. to commence trading on the OTCQB Venture Market under the ticker symbol "ARBKF" at the opening of the trading day on 13 January 2021. Argo's shares will continue to trade on the London Stock Exchange.

The OTCQB offers transparent trading in entrepreneurial and development stage companies that have met a minimum bid price test, are current in their financial reporting and have undergone an annual verification and management certification process.

Trading on the US OTC market has no impact on existing Argo ordinary shares trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and no new ordinary shares will be issued as part of the cross-trade. Argo will continue to rely on the announcements and disclosures it makes to the London Stock Exchange and will have no Sarbanes-Oxley or SEC reporting requirements.

Christmas Eve update on Shareholder Support

Dr Cave has been advised by Egremont that, as at 12.30 pm on 24 December 2020, it had received emails of support from 486 shareholders stating that they represented in aggregate approximately 336.9 million ordinary shares in RMS. As previously stated it is not possible to verify these holdings definitively using the share register provided by the Company, as many private investors hold shares via nominee holdings. However, if the communications are accurate, this represents 18.5 per cent of the current voting rights of the Company, even after the issue of an additional 400 million placing shares. Dr Cave holds 289,645,185 ordinary shares in RMS. Based on 1,983,270,231 voting shares in issue, this amounts to 14.6 per cent of the current voting rights.

Strategy and Outlook

The rebound in global economic activity remains robust, whilst COVID-19 vaccine
developments provide greater certainty around growth. Mined commodity prices
have performed well and we expect them to be well supported at these levels.
Overall, mined commodity supply has been impacted by COVID-19 related
disruptions and inventories are low relative to history for most commodities.

Longer term, we expect commodity supply to be constrained by the
underinvestment of recent years and continued capital discipline. Meanwhile,
commodity demand should continue to be buoyed by increased global
infrastructure spend as governments seek to kick-start their economies. Longer
term, we also expect the transition to a lower carbon global economy to also
support demand for certain mined commodities.

Turning to the miners, balance sheets are in strong shape, whilst earnings and
dividends are rising. Meanwhile, we see strong arguments for inflation
exceeding current expectations and, historically, the mining sector has
performed well on an absolute basis and relative to broader equity markets
during periods of rising inflation. We maintain a quality bias in the
portfolio, with a focus on companies with stronger balance sheets and lower
costs.
