Schurter opens an office in Hong Kong
Lucerne/Hong Kong - Schurter has opened a new office in Hong Kong. With the new branch, the manufacturer of electrical components wants to drive forward its strategic expansion in Asia.
Schurter, the Lucerne-based, globally active electrical components manufacturer, has opened a new branch in Hong Kong. According to a press release , the opening of the new office is intended to underline the strategic focus on the Asian market.
"We are striving to develop China and India into the Schurter Group's operational bases in Asia in order to be able to support the market and our customers in the best possible way," Oswald Fiegl, COO of the Schurter Group, is quoted as saying in the statement.
The relocation of the Asian headquarters from Singapore to Hong Kong in 2024 and the renaming of the company there to Schurter Electronics Hong Kong Ltd. will underline the company's continental orientation. The capacities and production sites in China have been integrated into the new project, says Guanghua Yang, General Manager and Vice President of the Asia region. "Schurter Asia has enormous growth potential."
