I think the sp isn't dropping because nobody has their point shares to sell yet lol

Nope I did say last night that the excess money not used and the new shares may not be available first thing ,may be 8 o'clock they may appear but don't hold your breath

I think the guy in the office was mistaken,there is no way there was less than 200 million excess shares applied for, therefore it will not be a third of your excess share. As marky has just said, 2.5% is more likely and not surprising

Exactly,if you're holding long term it doesn't matter and it will be fun to watch the fun and games in the morning,traders will undoubtedly offload oo shares when the markets open but will people snap them up straight away or hope they will fall lower and miss out if the price recovers. Very interested to see which way it goes tomorrow

MrMarky I agree and I can't believe the share won't be there first thing but I guess the brokers are just covering themselves Halifax states..... If you accept the Open Offer, the New Ordinary shares are expected to be credited to your account on or after 19th April 2017. These shares will not be available to sell until this time.

Unfortunately there is no cast iron guarantee that even your new shares will be available to trade by open tomorrow but I would hope so

I'm afraid not Kev lol Not sure James,I think it varies depending on which broker you use,Halifax says on or after 19th so who knows,I think there will be some unhappy punters tomorrow if their excess allocated money isn't available in their account to buy on the inevitable dips tomorrow

K3vster I think that was just the amount of excess shares available,everyone's original share entitlement applied for will still be fulfilled

Consolidation and dilution was always on the cards so no surprises and if as many of you say you are in long term then it's just part of the journey,there will be more dilution along the way but this business needs money and with no producing assets it the only way forward

You pay no cgt if your share are held in an isa

Personally I have no problem with Kev airing his short position,it's the sneaky shorters who pretend they are not that don't like. Kevs views are just one probability that may occur,he may be right he may be wrong and it's these differing views that make a market.
