Reckon 18p shortly after open tomorrow.
My new strategy is to buy companies outside the FTSE 250 with a chance of promotion in the next year or two especially ones paying a dividend and hold. Lost too much money trading and trying to be clever.
Have bought in today at 257p. Just 2,000 shares but might get more. Long term hold. Dividend at nearly 5% too (12p).
Should increase Chinese confidence, possibly increased chance of a deal being done involving companies such as ACA?
Hi dimi and all. I have taken the plunge here today. You never know there could be considerable upside very soon. If not, still not an expensive share.
Like good value. Presume results will be announced this week. Have bought in. NAV well above share price and oil prices have increased quite a bit since that valuation.
Buy of 200,000 more shares than the large sell from earlier?
When you think about it any placing within the next few weeks would most likely be at 3.5p. Anything cheaper would be unfair on Mr Spencer and anything higher would mean he got an unfair discount.
Cebo, I have checked back. This is an extract from hurricane energy’s RNS dated 18 April 2016. £52.1 million to be raised by way of the Kerogen Subscription and the Placing with other institutional investors at a price of 15 pence per share o Represents a premium of 46.3% to the closing middle market price of 10.3 pence per share on 15 April 2016 and a premium of 24.9% to the 30 trading day volume weighted average price of 12.0 pence per share, So it is possible to have a placing at a decent premium. If you were in HUR you will know the price there rose substantially in the months after the placing.
Hurricane energy also had a placing at a hefty premium to the prevailing share price.
Tullow has risen about 38p since you first appeared drone. The oil price has risen too now. Can you actually spot the correlation? My view is TLW will rise further if the increase in the oil price is sustained. I also think TLW would have risen more but some of the increase in the oil price is for temporary reasons, so that is not fully priced in. If however the temporary reasons become more permanent there will be a further improvement in Tullow’s value.
Why does the price say 2.9p on your post? I know it’s not your fault!
Think price was subdued yesterday by the impatient/ easily worried selling. The patient who have been waiting for the price to drop might start buying today or over the next week or two. There were no guarantees at JOG early on but it was worth the risk.
