UKEn will not build anything as they do not have credibility that the government would be requiring for a large investment project.
You are talking a need of £1 billion+ in investment, that kind of money would only be invested by a Government into a company which matches the eligibility criteria for such investment. Would you give Del Boy Trotter £1 billion to setup an international trading business??? Same applies in this situation, if it were BT or RDS, a big player operating with all the appropriate governance processes in place, with the staffing and experience to deliver large projects, then yes it would be possible. But you are talking about UKOG, led by SS (worst CEO on AIM) with no experience in Hydrogen storage and no staffing to make it happen.
The fact that they have their paws on a salt cavern is therefore of no significance.
UKOG will go into liquidation, the salt cavern will be sold off, and if it is a big player, then yes an option for development in the next 20 years. But let's be clear, it's a 20 year project, huge costs, and NO REVENUE until complete. NO go work out the benefits for a small time AIM oil and gas company that will fold in the near future!!!
It is immoral of UKOG and the CEO to lay claims to anything that is deliverable on their part, it's complete nonsense and those of us with a few brain cells between our ears know that!
