What we’ve been sering for a while is the transfer of shares from the impatient to the patient. The latter represents the average PI, who has the attention span of a goldfish. A quick explosive return is the only game in town and admittedly AIM can provide that financial gratification. Mostly though it all goes wrong, case in point RMP today. But, every now and again a company comes along which can provide financial gratification slbeit over a longer time frame. GGP has the potential to become one of those shares. Recently underpinned by a Major farm in, although the PI isn’t getting that premature orgasm and is moving in. Congratulations, you’re missing the point of investing. You’d much rather move elsewhere, accumulate risk and take potentially (probably) a massive hit.
I really fail to see the point in constantly worrying or commenting on intra day share price movements. If you’re here to watch the story unfold then it just doesn’t matter does it? If you’re here for a short term gain at least have the courage to say so.
GGP have a good story to tell and value will out in the end. Patience is as ever the key.
The whingeing, whining posts over the last few days illustrate beautifully why the majority of PIs should not be gambling their money on stocks and shares. A complete lack of knowledge, reliance on others who are just as clueless as you and no idea how to manage risk. Best thing anyone can do until you’ve 10 years experience is keep away from financial BBs.
A long term investment for me so whilst it’s a shame the latest assay results disappoint to a degree, there’s a long way to go. I guess the majority were here for a quick buck and got burnt. Incidentally there some truth in the old saying, buy on rumour sell on news!
That isn't a buoy pick up rope, which is synthetic not wire.
Quite how that discussion warrants a zillion posts and affects anyone's investment decisions, I can't quite work out.
OMG have you guys read the Hotcopper BB? ARV is a complete basket case, have destroyed shareholder value and the SP will tank when the suspension is lifted.
I’m not sure GGP should have anything to do with them especially if DL is involved. He’s created havoc everywhere he’s been. I’ll be out like a shot if he ever has any influence in GGP affairs.
In smh event ARV are small fry, if there is going to be a JV, tie in etc it needs to be with a major player.

Some interesting points.
And could be much higher than $20. I was essentially trying to work out the minimum resource size which supports the current SP.
Historically the POG hasn’t made much difference to the value of gold in the ground.
The range paid can be as low as $20 oz, clearly depending on mainly the size of the resource, grade, accessibility etc.
At this stage of development I’d tend to base any estimates of value on the lower figure. Which in big handful means Havieron would need a min of 4 mil oz to support the current share price (which doesn’t ascribe any value to the other assets). I don’t think we’re in a bad place right now :)
Quite what the price of gold has to do with GGP right now escapes me.
Even in the event of JV or other tie-up, curiously POG historically has little relevance.
Good to see the transfer of wealth from the impatient to the patient is well and truly alive ??
I see absolutely no point in selling whatever the outcome.
I can’t say I ever had any great expectations for GGP. Took a punt on the Newmont spike planning for a 10% trader’s return, got busy and greedy and caught by the crash. At which point I actually did some research and decided it was worth gambling what was left.
I now like the story and I’m dead impressed by the comments made by mineral professionals. Every now and again AIM presents a huge opportunity if you hang on to the inevitable rollercoaster. GGP might one such opportunity.
Even if 06-09 are not as good as 01-05 there’s still a long way to go and let’s face it, some targets are going to be poor as the size of the resource is defined.
And I like the topping up idea as well. Always average up not down!
