I don't think the costs are too onerous, based on my own research admittedly. A tiny tiny fraction of what they have in the bank and access to a wider pool of funding might mean it makes sense for the relatively small costs.

With it comes access to a much wider pool of investment. Advisers to the company must be making enquiries.

I wonder if they will look to increase their stake from the current 15% up to 29.99% (the max before they legally would have to bid)? It might make sense for them to do so now. Be interesting to see how it plays out from here with Linde.
