If you perceive me as negative, of course that’s your choice.
I will just be one of many waiting on shorter term developments, looking for the possibility of an advantageous entry. That doesn’t mean at a lesser price.
We’re all waiting on unknowns.
I wish you the best in your differing positions.
Motorways ain’t my thing. Fishing was suggested before.
You can’t work me out because I am a very interested re-buyer, with no axe to grind. Whatever happens, happens. You will know the board can give themselves, legitimately, first dibs on any equity raise, and support it.
That may, or may not occur.
Yes. But I was actually a little surprised to learn Newmont, and some bigger capitalised outfits, gave up on hedging a while back. I pointed out before, their hedging was a major factor in Telfer profitability, having gone against them.
As you would expect, there’s bits on Telfer, stats, throughout the Newmont Annual Report. (I previously found it useful to learn for my own purposes Newmont do not hedge the gold price)

And, for example, a small summary of mine infrastructure at Page 56.
Best of luck.
I put some more in another miner which is so far working out as a worthwhile punt, and a load in Newmont - not for the divi though. Pathetic. But buyback coming from divestitures. I think it’s safe, trading up and down though. Not going to make a fortune there. Not for a bit. And it won’t be a fortune anyway.
And I got enough on one side for any opportunity here. As you say, I may miss an early boat..
I wish those holding good fortune. It’s deserved, in the scheme of things.
Let me make my personal position clear though I am not obliged to do so. There seems to be interest in it. There may be others who do not make their positions clear.
Following Wyloo, I had an average of 8.2 . SP seemed to be moving against, so I sold 10p - 9p. Something around there in tranches.
Punters seem to me to have been concerned with a potential fundraise, and the effect of that on the SP, pending mining, FCF, and accretion. So they been selling.
I am on the fence. I do not mind, actually, which way the SP goes. I think there will be money to be made later.
Fundamentally, I await clarification, before possibly rebuying. I won’t be alone. But were I in at this price I think I would be holding, with a fistful of dollars to take advantage/put things right.
Have a good day.
Who do you choose to label as ‘armchair.’ You down Havieron or something? And dissenters?
Not me if I am required to say so. You will not find that in my posts. Neither I, nor you, know the outcome here on the current issues being discussed on a chat board.
The last thing Ggp want is this being dragged out, alongside dewatering. Newmont are arguably in a better position in that scenario, but I doubt they’ll see much merit in being other than responsible partners whilst they remain so.
Olafsson said Greenland offered "significant potential" for improving the security of supply of raw materials for Europe.
"We are particularly encouraged by recent developments following the recent signing of two new collaboration agreements to strengthen the EU-Greenland Partnership and the opening of a new EU office in Nuuk.
"2024 is a crucial year for Amaroq as we focus on bringing Nalunaq into production, whilst accelerating exploration activities across our wider precious and strategic metals portfolio."
