Interest rates are not a particular factor.

All of the debt is essentially future lease liabilities, offset by £200 mil or so cash.

It’s a simple pay as you go quick turnaround cash-generating proposition, with management choosing to pay a dividend with enough left over to pay the bills and put to growth.

Wickes said it expects 2021 profit to be at the upper end of analysts' expected range of £67 mil - £75 mil. Bit of an uplift from the prior forecast of upper half range of £55 - 74mil.

And when they initiate coverage, I guess they’ll have a target amongst those already offering one.

Obviously still being sold into. Probably Travis legacy holders. But buyers getting the upper hand of late.
There are analysts on board, see earlier posts - more expected.

Kestrel, in the know, and having worked with Mxc on projects over the years, converted at 2.5p. There are years, on the Mxc plans to sell up their assets, to progress the business. Their conversion started to lighten the debt load. Kestrel will not have been conned, nor will they have acted in haste. In my opinion it will have been been done in consultation with Mxc., and form part of what is yet to be finalised on debt ameliorisation.
It will clear the air once that aspect is finalised.

Not to say things won’t happen in the meantime. They will.

They’re calling it a long term hold on Advfn. Where have they been? Not in here for sure. Nevertheless, I see merit in that. It WILL get sold eventually, and very likely within 4 years give or take.

Picking up on this low price again.

Trading has ranged between 207 (52 week low) and 288 (52 week high) with an average of 1,361,383 shares exchanging hands daily. The market capitalisation at the time of writing is £539,787,386.

It seems yesterday’s bit of enthusiasm has waned. Maybe on the 3rd quarter comparator with a very busy lockdown period. Nothing has changed, yet Wickes remains undervalued not least in the opinion of those who are paid to know.

As anticipated. On track for full year concensus, and orders will support 2022.

We’re reminded of that today.
It will be paid on 1 November 2021 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 24 September 2021 (the Record Date). The shares will be quoted ex-dividend on 23 September 2021.

A rather poor consolation prize just at the moment.

It may come together with IDE, or not.

We don’t really get to know easily what Mxc are up to, including their MXLG business, touted when it started as going to be a sizeable roll-up.
