Hi all, new to this board and thinking of getting in as the price seems to be going in one direction. Regarding the dividend RNS a while back (quoted below), does this mean anyone who has shares as of close of play 25 March (i.e. there's still time for me to get in) will get a dividend paid on 24 May (subject to approval at the AGM on 20 May)? If so, do you still have to be holding the shares on 20 May (or 24 May?) or can you sell before? Seems a bit too good to be true. I remember missing out on a BRH dividend when the SP was about 50p and the dividend was an amazing 42p so people pretty much got a free ride from then especially as the SP later soared to 120+p before falling back more recently. Any advice? And any guesses as to what amount the dividend will likely be, roughly?
Subject to shareholder approval of the final dividend at the Annual General Meeting, to be held on 20 May 2021, the board of directors has approved a record date of 26 March 2021 and a payment date of 24 May 2021. The shares will be quoted ex-dividend on 25 March 2021.
Just got 12727 shares at 3.9 after trying for a while and then having a failed Fill or Kill. Bound to drop down now I'm in - sorry if I've jinxed it!
Thanks The Syrup - that’s what I feared. Alas, will phone up and if can’t get through I’ll play safe and sit on my hands
Thanks all.
Wdasse I think you’ve answered it. I’ve withdrawn from HL a few times and it’s always been 2 days to materialise in my HL account and then same day (if before noon) to then appear in my bank so I’m not worried from that POV. More that if I bought another share it would come out of that £1k than the new £500, leaving me only £500 (of the original £1k) to actually withdraw to my bank. Might call them first thing to be sure
PK63 thanks for the reply. What I’m trying to understand though is if I sell a second share and buy something else equal to the second share’s money - will the original money from a previous sale that I’m waiting to “materialise” still be there or will it have been used to fund the second purchase?
Hi all, newbie here. I’ve got a question about HL that I can’t find on their Q&A. I sold £1k in shares this morning and the money is appearing in my HL available funds but I don’t think I can withdraw to my bank for 2 days (but I can still reinvest in other shares). I need this money in my bank on Friday so as soon as it is available to withdraw on Friday I will. My problem is I’d like to sell £500 of other shares tomorrow to be able to top up here in RMS. Does anyone know if that resets the 2 day clock before I can withdraw to my account? Or would the £1k I withdrew this morning be in tact? Or would it be the first £500 (from this mornings £1k) but not the second £500 (from this morning) as HL then use that to buy my new RMS shares whilst the new £500 from selling whatever tomorrow morning waits 2 days to clear? Hope that makes sense - I know what I’m trying to say but not sure if I’ve explained it very well. Any guidance greatly appreciated as need the money in my account on Friday so if in doubt I’ll just have to sit on my hands tomorrow.
Cheers and good luck all
New to this and only a holder since Manic Monday but I’ve noticed a few people in the past mention when someone buys a single share. Looking at this morning’s trades and that seems to have happened not once but three times! At 8.51, 8.54 and 9.01am. Anything worth getting excited about?
