Thanks to everyone for bringing back memories of the good old days, and of many lessons in geology.
Sadly Life has intruded, and have been forced to sell half my shares sub 10p, really hope to hold on to the rest.
I really hope good news is around the corner, and recent movements, both in price and to the FI bode well, but before we all rejoice, and suck in new comers, the volume is encouraging, but is not enough to confirm good news on the way, so the 'Sun' has not yet risen/on its way.
However, I remain glass 2/3rds full, we all need this to happen

All I was doing, with everyone jumping for joy over the interest, was pointing out the award is actually reducing in real terms, and will buy less when we need it.
It certainly is rather more than if we had the money sitting in a current account!

I was puzzled why ROI did not wait until Dec 22nd to lodge a request for annulment(losing seven weeks delay)
Presumably they need the decision on stay of enforcement made by Dec 22nd, or our lawyers can make a start on grounding planes in US airports.

If no application for annulment, on Dec 24th they are in clear breach

Looks like some are selling to raise funds for end of month warrant purchase, or they think end of global demand for hydrocarbons at next election.
They could sell OM award for much more than current SP (at a discount), but good management will wait and get the lot

I understand from other posters that the ROI have 120 days (ending Dec 23rd) to apply for an annulment.
If they don't apply, then enforcement in courts (to take over planes/embassies) can commence
If they go thru the motions of annulment just to delay everything, then who knows, but hopefully will be fast tracked.
In the meantime the meagre below inflation interest accrues, and we have a new Italian government to consider.

Energy security requires government to look further than the next election (difficult, why we are in the current mess) Surely the UK has learnt this lesson.
What if in 5 yrs time a major oil/gas producing region of the world is taken over by religious extremists (more so than there at the moment) We need to hold our nose and be nice to those current regimes, invite them to funerals etc.
I just hope it does not happen during the current Ukraine crisis.

Stop orders are very dangerous.
Some of us are long enough in the tooth to remember the luchtime when the price fell from 300 to 150p for about an hour, triggering stop losses, then bounced back after lunch.
As for lockdowns, I am worried that the second and third lockdowns were overcooked, as a former scientist I am worried that the government listened to just the epidemiologists and not the overall mental health etc experts, along with the cost/damage to the economy (If I was PM I would have been cautiously jabbing after Phase two trials....)
Like everyone else, scientists like being in power and being listened to.

It is not 'Italian judges', one of the three arbiters is appointed by Italy.
We have already seen Italy fail twice to get the ECJ involved, that would have been a disaster.

Thanks for you informative post.
However, these ICSID judges/arbiters are unaccountable lords and masters, who will judge, and time any award purely on legal matters (and their convenience), a trivial matter such as an Italian election will not even be considered, just as hurrying up in case RKH went bust was not considered..
To them the law is everything, outside matters or reality does not matter
