Whatās not to like?
Looking good.
Weāve called a bottom a bottom here.
Any of you guys looked at Rolls Royce - been watching for a while - managed to get a few this morning as it dipped under 90.
Only too aware of their plight - strong balance though. Even riskier than here possibly!!
Managed to buy yesterday on another platform!
Here's the response from Share Center in case you guys suffer the same though another broker:
'After the UK left the EU on 31/12/2020 it affected a regulation that Easyjet have regarding distribution of its shares. The company only allows 49.5% of its shares to be owned by Non-EU residents (this now includes the UK) and as such we are already above that threshold and for the time being are unable to allow customers to purchase shares through us. Unfortunately, I am unable to comment on the workings of other brokers but for now we cannot purchase Easyjet shares and there is no timescale we have been advised of when we will be able to again.'

His Guys,
Who can recommend another platform - I like to buy and sell these - share centre won't let me buy at the moment -saying they are 49% European owned (Brexit thing) - so they won't let me trade! I don't really understand - are you guys able to trade and if so who are you using please?
Been told by Share Center/ Interactive Investor that canāt buy shares due to a Brexit issue over EZJ ownership! Can only sell at the moment - anyone else heard of this?
Not even I the eternal optimist thought it would hang on to 800 - I was all geared up for a buy at 756 support or even next one down! Think it may drift tomorrow, hold your horses!
If there is one thing Iāve learnt in 30 years of investing is that the doom mongers have their 15 mins of fame, but optimists and clear thinkers make the most money. This is an opportunity if you can play it right. People who like to pop up with doomsday scenarios do so because that is their bent not through any particular logic. GLA.
This just gets better for a longish term investor.
Will it crack today when the Dow opens?
Good lord - your post is a joke right?
The below is more like the truth IMO - what would you do if a load of Pilots didn't want to take a pay cut!
'The language used by union rep Martin Entwisle is stark.
However his presentation to fellow pilots at Easyjet, which was recorded and leaked to the BBC, is a pitch.
EasyJet and Balpa were, at the time, in the process of thrashing out a deal to mitigate redundancies.
After a prior meeting with Easyjet management, Mr Entwisle's overall message to colleagues is that these are such extreme times, that a deal, which would have seemed inconceivable six months ago, is their best bet.
The recording does shine a light on just how bleak this winter will be for Easyjet.
But there is nothing to suggest that the airline's predicament is any worse than that of any of its competitors.
Every airline has been burning cash for months and no-one can say when international travel will truly recover.
They've all restructured and flight schedules have been dramatically scaled back in the short to medium term.
It is vital for all of them that, by next summer, the situation has dramatically improved.'
The airline, which recently took the decision to close its Newcastle International Airport base and end its international flights from the North East, made the statement following a leaked recording where union official Martin Entwistle said EasyJet is in a "really dire" situation after he met with financial officer Andrew Findlay
EasyJet said that the recording "does not reflect" the views of the company or Mr Findlay, and that it would be taking a "prudent approach to capacity" over the winter.
In a statement, the company said: "The recording does not reflect what easyJet or its chief financial officer said.
We have been clear the whole industry has been impacted by the pandemic. However, EasyJet has taken a prudent approach to capacity and the right actions on cash preservation.
"The airline continues to keep all liquidity options under review, but no decisions have been taken.
Tactics used to scare the unions into accepting reality!
Sure the price will drop temporarily - irresponsible journalism IMO - article also says no reason to believe EZJ is in worse position than any other airline - those predicting a Ā£1 for the share price should be reported and banned! This always happens on forums when people smell blood - itās human nature unfortunately. Others lose unnecessarily.
In my experience of this kind of rise itās usually a three session thing - it achieves the first day high on the 3rd session so if youāre selling.... Personally Iām waiting for another divi or two! GLA
Hope the treasury are selling a few!
Ok I take it all back that was brilliant from BARC! Mr Bramson wonāt be pleased!
I think youāre exactly right! Ross Mc doesnāt care now and heās been overly prudent to kick Mrs Rose off to stellar results in Feb! Why is it that we can never match the investment banking performance of the American banks - Barclays included!
Glued to itās support level. Pleased itās not the next one down!
The drop is likely because thereās always a faction who are in the know (Isnāt that insider trading) and perhaps itās some bad news. Thereās often a pullback in the share price after even good results. I canāt be bothered to try and trade this situation anymore because on the odd occasion you lose big time. Itās better to buy a few more at the bottom of the dip! GLA
