The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
In my humble opinion this is just an unnecessary distraction. A cheap plot of land. A nice building plot in the south of England would cost more. It's already having the desired effect of BOD's as last 50/60 posts on here are all about this latest news rather than Clogau or the pathetic SP we still have. It's been acquired to distract and muddy the waters and to take pressure off failings elsewhere.
Not strictly true Robbie, no matter what the gold price is, the quantities have to available too.
I appreciate what you are saying Pickedpeck, but the SP was far better when the mine was flooded and the gold wasn't bulging out of the walls.
I'm not expecting miracles but now all these hurdles have been overcome and if the news is as positive as George makes out would it be too much to expect a steady , if mediocre move in the right direction of SP.
Well said Asllankukeli, how can we move on when thousands down. Of course things are positive and good news has started to flow, but smiley George gives us good news one day and screws the SP the very next day all the time. Our investment is going in reverse and has been in decline for absolutely ages. It's all about George and his mates and stuff us small investors .
Most of the trades showing are Buys not sells.
It says it all when a man can be interviewed one day , all smiles, telling us how great he and the company is, and then two days later kick you in the balls. We are deluded if we think he does anything with us shareholders in mind. There is only one man going to get rich out of Alba. Apart from his buddies of course.
I appreciate I will be in the minority but for me this RNS is a typical disappointing Alba update containing lots of positives between the lines but nothing factual or concrete. to get new interest or affect the SP, except maybe push it down further.
I want to see numbers/results. George has a way of making me feel as if I am being dangled on a bit of string.
You are right in what you say Robbie, but no matter how you dress this up we are back to almost all time lows. Confidence has drained over a long period now. People have got used to years of RNS's full of if's and buts, or maybe's etc etc. The fear is the next one will be no different, full of b******t. There is no way in my opinion that the content of the next announcement will make the sort of reaction on the SP many of us need to consider our options. The usual reaction is either a bit of blue followed swiftly by red , or just red. We need excellent news and lots of it over a short period to improve and sustain the SP to show investors this share is going places, and with the current management unfortunately I don't see this happening.
Yet another uninspiring start of a week in the life of Alba. I know people say we need to be patient but surely no news is bad news . Is all this silence a sign that the Grim Reaper is about to appear. I certainly hope not , I need to cut my losses and get out of here, but not at this ridiculous SP.
Going down the Drayco fast.
Albeit relatively small quantities , the selling of shares has been relentless for months. News is slow and often uninspiring so you can't help wondering if this is actually leading anywhere.
I think people who keep posting these updates have too much time on their hands. For me personally 6 penguin bars for a £1 at Morrisons is more useful information at the moment.
A question for those who feel they are vastly superior and more knowledgeable than the rest of us.
We appreciate that exploration work takes a lot of time and many hurdles to overcome. Albeit Alba seems content to proceed at a snails pace.
What was the logic in appointing a gold expert Viv Johnstone in 2022 no doubt on a big salary, when we haven’t got any and not likely to have any for years to come ?
Perhaps you should re check my posts Robbie. I have never said we wouldn't get the Licence, permit or to L4. That is a lie. The main reference in my post was regarding the SP which you have on a number of occasions predicted levels it hasn't attained. Perhaps we can agree that the SP needs to show substantial improvement soon or I won't be the only negative investor on here.
Look like your on your own again Robbie, not the slightest bit of interest from elsewhere. I think most people are thinking enough is enough here, we need much more than the occasional photo showing a labourer with a grinder in his hand.
perfect summary of where we are at sdyas, if this was my post i would have been ****ged off for being negative by the alba resident ramper but the facts are there for all to see as you have highlighted.
I am really struggling to see the positives here. 25 million sold and 8% down. Someone is going to tell me this is a great time to buy. I think not, desperate to off load what I have but they are pretty worthless at present.
I am not overly negative , just stating fact that we keep getting large sells, 11m today, was there an 8m+ yesterday, but never get the big buys, just lots of small timers. Be nice if someone, somewhere had the confidence to buy some decent chunks.
Some people not happy with all this good news, and bailing out big time again today. I wonder what they know that us mugs don't ?
We shouldn't be surprised at the negative impact on the SP. History shows us that GF has never been able to generate enthusiasm and long term excitement from announcements, RNS's ' video interviews or tweets. Apart from us few on here that is.
It's going to take a nugget the size of a mini Cooper to shift this or failing that it's Goodnight Vienna I am afraid.
