The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Wellington, I think (educated guess) we did want to settle out of court in the summer.
I remember Nisan saying in one of the webcasts that they hoped to have this wrapped up in June/July.
I'm also guessing that Plex's major shareholders pressed to not settle and instead head for court. How much did they knew about the creative accounting though?
Just conjecture on my part on what Nisan said.
Flu will be the biggest concern this year.
I laughably heard one professor on Jazz FM news state that they 'expect flu to return this year'.
Where was it last year then? On holiday?
Fully expect any flu deaths to get notched up as a Covid death which is infuriating as surely everyone must now have come into contact with it - so even if you get knocked down by a bus, if you've got it in your system you'll be chalked up as a Covid death.
What we really need to know is how many deaths are as a direct result of contracting Covid and not merely 'with' it.
But that doesn't make for rage bait headlines.
This surely has to be the last season of Covid nonsense.
Bring on Spring 2022.
Durrr.. no premarket.
My bad.
You can track Cineplex sp here, Miss Wild:
Up .71 in premarket.
https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/cgx?countrycode=ca
Basically, Cineplex fudged their payments to suppliers et al to avoid breaking the 725 million.
This goes against operating in the 'normal course of business' which was part of the deal?
That's how I'm seeing that part.
Seems a good start to me.
Well, it beats Eastenders i guess.
And with that lpd, you prove yourself an absolute joke.
I genuinely think you have mental issues a la Norman Bates.
Seriously.
I'd bet real money that smalltrader is just your other login.
Your absolute lack of self-awareness is laid bare for all to see and your (smalltrader's) inability to digest anything other than rainbows and unicorns is infantile and comparable to putting your fingers in your ears and going lalalalalala.
I'm sure I'm now in a green coffin (that you never use) but zero fux are given.
The laughable way you sign off some posts as if you're the most important person in the world and have other things to do (apart from read the posts of those you say are filtered) in the world is David Brent tier cringe.
I'm not and never been a trader of this share.
Anyone whos been on here long enough knows that.
And god, i hope we come through this with zero or minor damage.
But to every else who's taken a sabbatical or got bored of this lot, please don't feel intimidated to post.
Everyone should be free to express an opinion.
Unbelievable Jeff.
Appeal?
No idea - just like anyone else.
My gut feeling is that we'll be fine in the end but to say this doesn't make me feel uncomfortable would be a lie.
Like ignoring 'that' lump and hope that it goes away.
For me, this is the last hurdle to see us through to the finish line.
But I'm watching this like a hawk cos as anyone who's been here for the last year and a bit knows I'm a long term holder for (hopefully) years to come but I honestly thought this would never get to court and get resolved ooc and is making me nervous.
I just think it needs balance here to offset the rather blasé attitude to this.
It's a very serious situation.
Yep.
I'm sure Cineplex are just spending all this time and money for the laugh.
In the words of Lord Melchett from Blackadder: If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through.
Best outcome is that we have to buy Cineplex but at the rate of £1 per year.
Winner winner, hotdog dinner.
Plumber, I used to go often to the VIP - well before I was a shareholder even.
I loved it if only for the Nacho cheese machine.
Unlimited hot nacho cheese. Fat lad's dream. No little cold tubs. As much as you wanted.
And hot dogs.
And the buffet.
And the private bar.
And the nice big seats.
Yeah - give it a go. Loved it!!
Fantastic news.
We're well on our way here.
Covid is now just something we have to live with. Hardly see any masks anywhere now.
So much good stuff to see now as well.
I really enjoyed Shang Chi way more than I thought I would too. Very deserving of it's success.
Meant to reply to this earlier, PW but got lost in those tunes!!
What a playlist!
Nostaligiagasm!!!!!!
Yup!!!!!
I'm totally gonna take this 'offline' as the suits say these days and ask the most pressing question of the moment:
What are you lot listening to / watching?
TBH, I hardly watch telly and music is my thing - currently listening to the Shogun remix of Ken Ishii's Stretch like I'm 25 again. But that's just me.
So, c'mon - forget about the shares... what's your 'thing' at the moment??
Screen Rant are notoriously in the pockets of the streamers - if not actually owned by them.
Every article from them is pro-streaming and anti- theater.
Ignore.
Amen to that, PW.
Yeah, we need to see serious content but the fact is, anyone who's invested here HAS to live life on the edge.
As if any of us invested here originally as a stable investment!!!!
We're all in here cos we're foooookin mental and understand life is a game.
So sod the boring sods here pretending this is a sensible investment - I'm here for the roller coaster and loving it.
And in the meantime, let's have some fun!!!
So yeah.., BALLLS BAYBEEEEE!!
How we doin' muthafakkaz!??
This month sees some BIG movie releases but also the start of the trial.
How are YOUR balls holding up?
Snirped up in fear or hanging loose and LARGE at the prospect of massive gains in the next 12 months?
FWIW, mine are loose, free and swinging like pendulous rock breakers.
Sling those spuds the on the line and let me know cos this board has gone dry as fook of late.
Like watching someone eat cardboard.
FunInvestor, I know you're reading this - i hope you're enjoying a wee dram wherever you are!
So yeah... Balls baby!!!
After reading the below (in quotation marks) I'm expecting a drop tomorrow based on the Top Gun news.
But for the same reason, I'd expect an even bigger relative increase when Bond smashes pandemic records.
Basically, the big boys use software that constantly scans for news on any particular stock and auto trades accordingly:
"Hedge fund investors familiar with news mining technology said an algorithm based on the "weakness indicator" could easily be created to sell dollars and U.S. stocks and buy bonds if more than 50 references were found...
Rather than just highlight words or phrases, some of the most sophisticated news mining platforms can take multiple strands of news from wire agencies and Web sites and score the significance of various items."
Famous-for-getting-killed movie star Sean Bean is entertaining Mookie at Sean's massive farm in Yorskhire.
Polite movie based conversation is flowing between the two when Sean's wife brings him a drink.
Shocked that she hasn't brought his guest a drink, he bellows in his most broad Yorkshire accent 'Nah then luv, weerz Mookie's??'
Seans wife nods and returns a few moments later with a bunch of keys.
Sean looks at his wife with a puzzled expression 'What's tha given me these for? These are for t' cow shed?'
His wife looks back equally puzzled and responds 'I thought you wanted the Moo Keys?'
I've had a few whiskeys. I'll get my coat...
