Is proving to be a market bloodbath day with so many shares down and it seems most of the reason is Covid .....

My own experience of this 3rd delta wave is that this one has hit my workplace the hardest with the pingdemic sending more and more home every day.... double vaxed people testing positive... some being quite ill too.... and covid testing kit numbers being delivered at all time highs at least 3x what they were before this wave hit.....

So I dunno... but if ever there was an opportunity and need now is it so come on scancell next-gen vaxs are needed and not in a few years either.!.. It's good to see BioNTech splashing their newfound riches It will be interesting to see what else they spend on in their journey to becoming a big pharma...

It is a good find and interesting why they felt the need I'm not sure but of course to have the patent all sorted ASAP especially when it involves such a 'landgrab' is an important milestone to get across and surely makes any potential deal/s easier to finalise.

A problem with yearly boosters is the 'whack a mole' element due to emergent variants which are not going to stop coming the longer that the majority of the globe goes un vaccinated... so more variants will emerge that can evade certain vaccines which till then have to race to catch up and before you know it another variant has emerged etc.... far better to try for broader targeting vaxs... especially ones offering longer-term immunity.... sure many people even vaccinated with those could still get infected with coronaviruses but the outcome would likely be less need for medical care and fatalities kept very low...especially with the T cell memory factor involved ....

I don't think we are after data such as vax is loot proof!.... hopefully things will be calmer by trials start SA has a dire need of as many vaxs as possible ASAP.

You're missing the point of our Covid vax... AvidiMab gets validated the value of that is massive,,, new delivery gets validated again huge value there and revolutionary to ImmunoBody platform.... a delivery that mRNA players as in all the winners are going to be very interested in.... so there is a lot more value in that Covidity trial than it being a second gen race winner... which it could well be too if it gets the data and backing.
