Not sure what is wrong with people’s reading skills. The company made it blatantly clear that they would not be reporting on Dubhe-1 until they have been back for further testing. Releasing Dubhe-1 news now (material or immaterial) would go completely against previous RNS.

The $10m raise is a different matter. The company said they did not plan a raise, yet did it anyway. There can only be one explanation for that. Plans must have changed. Read into that what you will, but Hobbs is an agile strategist and operator (not to mention also being a shareholder), so I am confident that from his chair the raise was the right thing to do. And I am sure the reasoning will be shared with holders at some point.

I am also amazed that people have an issue with DH becoming non-exec chair. The company is supposed to be run by the CEO. Hobbs stepped in partly to revise the overall strategy and oversee the stage of Bob and Jay leaving for their retirements. New directors are in place, and should run the company.

I am baffled by some of the comments here, but reckon there are loads of novices that got in as they thought this would turn to gold in no time. Welcome to art of investing in oil exploration in inhospitable climes.

If further exploration and development is at all viable, I do anticipate quite a bit more dilution. So for that reason I cannot see this to go much further than 20x of today’s SP so 140-160p if all hurdles is successfully navigated. SP were 169p in the past, but back then there was 300m shares less in the mix.

If we need to raise eg $100m to move from resource to reserve, and if it’s done by another raise at 7p, that will in an instant add 1.4bn shares to the current 1.3bn.

I know the strategy is not finance by issuing more stock, but they have said that for years, and still continued to do so, last time just weeks ago…

Bottom line, i’ll be well pleased with getting out at 140p

No chance it’s 50/50. Had that been true, the marcap would be £1bn. Shrewd investors would not have overlooked a potential 25-50 bagger if the odds were 50/50.

The route to success require quite a lot of individual outcomes ALL to be successful, and that is where extreme optimism becomes a prerequisite.

I reckon that I at least 5 times must have thought we were all close to become millionaires, but things has turned sour every time.

Now things are a bit different. The chance of success is perhaps circa the same as for the last 5-6 years, but what is different is that we have almost no means of raising serious money if needed without huge dilution given the pitiful SP.

I’d say the odds are 5-10% chance of success max, but the reward likely to be well over 20x today’s SP, so still worth a punt.

Whilst the company obviously cannot provide material updates during such event, clarification on much pondered on questions and speculations will probably be offered. Otherwise, there would be no point.

DH is indeed a good man with loads of credibility to his name, so great to have him onboard, and if memory serves me well, he himself has been invested for easily 8 years, so long before he joined the company.

That being said, not all problems have a solution, but more to the point not all problems are worth solving. If the route to a succesful outcome cannot be cleared due to mechanics, commercials, finance, chemistry, permissions, politics, market conditions eg. it could all end up as a beached whale nobody can save. This one is a tightrope kinda thing, and not a no-brainer. Having the right team to manage the process is key, but no guarantee. There is a reason why this is 8p.

With BP down near 5% this morning, and given drop in U.S. yesterday, I’m amazed PANR is holding up. Can’t see that lasting the entire day.

The ever repetitive ebb / flood of sentiment is what small prey day traders need to average down.

Also, do not forget, oil exploration investments are notoriously treacherous why 99 of a 100 punts ends in tears. Thankfully for the industry, there is no end to the ranks of gullible small time investors, who suddenly knows everything there is to know about exploration.

Sorry to disturb your lunch break at school, but if you truly were a ‘ShareGuru’ you’d OBVIOSLY know that prices on exploration shares fluctuated WILDLY up and down all the time. That is especially true of smaller explorers with fewer asset opportunities.

Thinking that today’s PANR SP says the slights about the intrinsic value of the company and its assets is simply ludicrously ridiculous.

They had 3 snow blizzards up there in December making continued operation difficult and silly expensive ($150k/d)

The BOD did not suggest any uncertainty of going back in spring to flowtest at all.

There said they have no plans or need of raising.

9p is ludicrously cheap, almost regardless of what the results of this well end up being. The huge drop imo reflects investors deciding to take their money somewhere else until nearer the spring.

Also, I got the impression that there are activities taking place in the data room. No idea of what/whom, but it was mentioned in passing a few times.

They all 3 came across as very relaxed and confident about it all.

I noticed that all required permits to start the pipeline construction was OK’ed mid-December, and that the federal office had been working throughout the U.S. govt shutdown, not to delay anything why the plan is now (amazingly) ahead of schedule. Actual construction work to start later this year… That’s sweet music to my ears.

Some here may have doubt as to whether PANR will ever pay off, so it’s nice to see the people prepared to pay billions for the pipeline doesn’t share those concerns….

Can I ask why the preference for a gas well classification ?

Would it have to do with the chances of getting an Alaskan gas line programme sped up ?

I will offer a 100% certain prediction here.

Shareholders in prem will lose everything. If the mine is at all viable, canmax and glencore between them will give it a go. The rest of you will cry in your porridge. This will become apparent in less than 3 months…
