Happy New Year everyone. I appreciate everyone's contribution over 2020 and look forward to your thoughts over the coming months. 2020 was a frustrating year for LTHs. Hopefully there will be a creep back to better levels. I personally really struggled with the last month or so as oil moved up and TLW remained dormant. It seems looking at the rise in mining stocks yesterday that commodities might gain momentum in general. Let's hope so. Indebted companies have (understandably) faired badly over the pandemic. I think if oil can rise another 10% companies like Tlw will rise by comparatively more as the debt burden seems less ominous. As I right WTI is moving towards the $50 mark. Psychologically could be important. Bon chance, C_L

I can see your thinking re; charts. It's like it is all primed, ready to respond either way to a deal or no deal outcome over the next two days.
Personally looking at how the £ is swinging I think the market wants a deal. It doesn't like change and given the volatility over the last year it is easy to understand why. So if we get a deal CPI to break through that 51/52 resistance is my prediction. Then we might be looking at a quick ride in to the 70s. No deal and the time scale increases.

It feels like it wants to go but I am in two minds. Its a Friday and also the OPEC news is out. The OPEC news got sold in to last June. This feels slightly different because of the vaccine news though. Ahhh I can feel myself fence sitting hear and it's uncomfortable.

It's been an unusual morning with SP holding firm as POO has gently slid over 1.5%. Might we get a rise in to close? I wouldn't want to bet on it?.... But wait up I have got a bet on it.

My wife works for the local children’s hospital and an email circular went round today saying they hoped they would have all staff vaccinated before xmas. That’s within 4 weeks. If that happens it could put a real rocket in to the markets.

There could be a domino effect if this happens on a few consecutive days. The last short out will be the real loser so hopefully a race to the door if oil can keep rising.

The more it lurks around this level the more interesting it gets. I predict 32p by next Wednesday so it might as well start moving there today. She's gonna blow captain. If POO plays ball ; )

I've 26 as the peak of its range. Maybe..just maybe it could break out. Why not it's better fun than a shake down for everyone bar the shorters.

The Api data was released about six hours ago. Oil took a hit and has crawled back up to similar levels.

The shorters will be having this conversation in their offices. Weighing up the future. Should we be the first? Is this the time to be the first? . Once one starts to buy, momentum will shift and the house of cards could begin to fall. Enjoy the coming week.

I'm out. I've taking a beating on this share buying all the way down since last year - a 50% loss. But I feel I don't know what the company's story is any more. Last year when they announced the St Andrew's buy I thought things were really on track but the Russia/SA spat and Covid have beaten the living daylights out of this company and it has been a scramble for survival all summer with the debt holders holding sway. It hasn't owned it own destiny. Yesterdays rise is too much of a gimme to ignore. I'll keep an eye on it and this board. Still got a soft spot for Premier. It's been a ride.
