So, the helium wells across the Galactica and Pegasus prospects of Las Animas is in the Four Corners region of Colorado. The Four Corners region spans 150,580 sq miles and is defined by plateaus and mesas located in the large basins surrounded by highlands).
This area is a place of voluminous, helium-source rocks that underlie the Colorado Plateau, the region is over 1.6 billion years old. The anonymously shallow granite source rocks are blanketed by one to three thousand feet of helium sealing tight salt layers deposited over millions of years.
There is no place in the world with a similar set of geological criteria. It is no wonder HE1 didn't want to lose such a prospect.
