Hi steve hope all is well. I would certainly expect the baseline set with the AEX deal @ $20 million for 25% + any additional spend at cost since. So the valuation as per the recent transaction is $20 Million, say they spent $2million then you would reasonably expect $22 million.

@Mrc, conversely, it's only worth what someone is willing to sell it for.

Suggestions that they will give a £15 to £20 million asset away for free is Bonkers imo.

I don't think anyone would disagree around uncertainty, that's why no one here tags Buy or strong Buy on any posts because it's unknown.
What we do know is they have a huge gas discovery worth multiples of the current market cap
What we do know is that they have another $3 million available from the existing facility and around £500,000 in HE1 shares.
What we don't know is how much they have already spent on the current work programme and thus the required balance?
What we do know is the drill has now been reduced to $1.75 million.
What we don't know is if there is any credibility to the asset sales process and negotiations with multiple parties?

So in summary, we know bog all & certainly if they have no reasonable expectation of completing a sale of the asset before a spud date is announced then they should reassure the market on the funding.

Meanwhile the market is great elsewhere

Maybe, they were clear they would not raise all the money whilst there was an expectation of a sale and thus fund as they go rather than a huge dilution that may not be needed.

Only time will tell which strategy was correct and that is fully dependent on a sale or not. Once they get a spud date there is no point progressing any sale till post drill imo. Of course according to you MrC that will not be till summer 2023 so if you are correct, which I doubt we will have a very long wait for the $1.75 million drill.

The two are not related at all in terms of reason. CEG had a huge off shore drill that was a duster & US$23 million of balance sheet payables, debts and potential liabilities as a result.

SCIR have 2 huge onshore drills both of which have been a success and plugged for production with a 3rd appraisal well due Q3 2022 (according to the operator)and a current debt of $675,000
