BME needs a rebrand

This company needs all the money it can get to invest in growth and a rebrand. Paying out what is currently around 18.5% of the share price is insane!

More % drops - run for your lives. This company is going nowhere until it reduces the dividend massively and at that point the SP will drop. Recovery of BME needs to be drastic and will take 5 years or so to implement fully. Whole business needs an overhaul and it won't be pretty in the short to mid term.

B&M does spend money on that avenue given there's an app. They spent money to develop it and continue to spend money to maintain it, so I'm afraid they do spend money on that.

And getting people to use the app is important to increase revenue and gather important information on users buying and shopping habits. Apps, once installed on a user device can also track users movements beyond the app and therefore get more information on users interests and target advertising.

There's a reason all of B&Ms competitors are using apps. To not utilize this and actively get users on the app is a missed opportunity.

So B&M is the only store that has nearly no iPhone users? Really? Considering B&M’s competitors have high stats for both iPhone and Android…

This company has over 38,000 staff across France and uk yet the store mobile app only has 369 ratings compared to millions for their competitors.

If that’s not a sign that folks aren’t interested in B&M I dunno what is…

A company with nearly 40k staff can’t even get 1k people enthusiastic and interested enough to rate their app that they probably spent a lot of money developing. How many people are actually using the app? Is this indicative of how many people are actually shopping at B&M? Quite likely…at least to some extent…

Give me something tangible and promising about this company?

First time back on this board for a couple weeks. First thing I see in the chat is Bazzaman with a post titled “ashman”…I’m away again…

This may be one of the worst businesses/stocks in the UK market. Just because it’s got a high dividend yield and it’s cheap folks are throwing their money in. It’s legit on its way under £1 and then onto liquidation.

There is nothing promising about this business.

I guess with dermatonics currently being a foot care company, a product promising to fight the stressors of aging and wrinkles might not be so pertinent for that part of the body. Could Dermatonics branch out into more skincare? Face/full body?

That’s a good shout tbh - only thing I’d wonder about is the contracts etc with Croda…is that preventing them from doing it? Would be a worthwhile question to put forward.

Toyin, is this from the same RNS on 3rd March 2020? If so, how on earth were SBTX to know what COVID had in store as this was 10 days prior to the first lockdown and the message upon lockdown from government and NHS was “two days to flatten the curve”…which as we all know, wasn’t quite how things panned out…

3rd March 2020 hahaha - didn’t the UK (and wider world) go into a mass lockdown 10 days after this. Where you could only leave your house once a day and weren’t allowed to cross over council areas, then to get computers to work from home there were huge lead times as chip companies couldn’t meet demand. Add to this no business processes existed for many companies to switch to mass WFH models.

Likely you’ll call this once in a lifetime global event that affected all companies an Ashman excuse. Which is absolutely mental…
