There's been a lot of work put into this Rights Issue but RR still have to get Shareholders approval before it can go ahead.
We are all thinking & talking like it's a given, myself included, however there could be another twist in this story to come.
Is it likely to get approval? I would say yes, is it a given? No one can say that for sure right now.

milnrowmug - I was still crawling around at the time too, obviously only learning about it in later life through school etc. There is plenty of information about it out there, & like everything it can be found from lots of different sources at varying degrees of depth depending on how much you want to know about it. Not my area however I have found science journals are a good source of knowledge for that kind of stuff & the centre for disease control lists all past pandemics and a lot more.
This new pandemic has claimed over 1 million now I believe, depending on reporting, so definitely on a par with the HKFP.

They had a vaccine within a year for the Hong Kong Flu Pandemic in 1968 that killed up to 4 million people globally. No problem with legislation back then.

I’m pretty sure when the vaccine is found it will be rolled out & not left in the back of a cupboard for the red tape to be sorted out.

As much as I'd like to see this rise from here, it looks like that 42m order was a sell. The timings would explain the rapid fall late on yesterday but who knows. You can only go by the information you are shown and that's been questionable of late. We will see in the next few minutes though.

Lol's, no one has a clue where this is going to end up 4.30pm tomorrow but one things for sure it's only heading north at 8am tomorrow morning after those massive trades were reported.

samb69 - the market cap range average for the past 5 years has been roughly 18.25bn with a high in 2018 at 27.18bn and a low just the other week at 2.99bn.

Poleaxe - You don't have to go back as far as 2014, they were over 26bn market cap just 2 years ago so yes they have been up there.

BsiteBertie, what happened last week who knows for sure eh? Manipulation or just caught out with the sums? One thing is clear though, the 10 for 3 share issue at 0.32p is the play of the year. It's caught so many people out, some on here saying it was going down to 0.50p, I think I even read 0.10p at one point? lol's really? That would mean RR being down 99% no wonder we had that rapid rise last week and this has plenty to go yet before the RI. There will be more positions being taken up next week because of that generous 10 for 3.

RR isn't the only company in trouble during this pandemic, lots of companies have needed help. Some will not survive due to the nature of their business & have folded already. Rolls Royce is at the absolute pinnacle of engineering, you don't get any better, whatever the trouble everyone is in right now, RR is part of the future.

Its taken a while for people to work out the fundamentals of this very generous 10 for 3 rights issue, some still haven't, the book runners certainly have though and this has plenty legs left to run.
