George Frangeskides, Exec-Chair at Alba Mineral Resources, discusses grades at the Clogau Gold Mine. Watch the full video here.
Depending how things go over the next couple of years, this week's deal actually gives more potential investment than the £40 million - the £40 million is just the immediate share purchase, each investment unit also includes a warrant to purchase another share at 28p, if all warrants are exercised, that is a total investment of £101 million, which should just about bring the mine into production
I think not only is the level investment amazing, the calibre of the investor is absolutely amazing - he will have access to the senior levels of government that money cannot buy.
If you Google Generation Expo, that will give you tge information, the first one is on Friday at Cornwall College
Are you going along to one of the EXPOs
Who knows? They are starting more drilling down tgat way
I don't know if you've googled "Mick the Miner" yet, he's as solid as they come, ex CEO of Xstrata, until he sold it to Glencore, ex CFO of Billiton, Ex CEO and Treasurer of the Conservative party - so he knows what he's doing and he has connections to the top of government.
I personally think the share price will rebound very quickly, as I think it will become very clear tgat this is now on the fast track - ultimately South Crofty is shovel ready, there aren't many projects in that position.
Indeed and there will be at least one more major dilution event when the feasibility study is published, which is why Mick Davies has secured the right to take part in any future offerings.
I have said many times on this board over the last few months that there will be a major dilution event - not because I am clever, but simply there had to be to move forward. As ever in the short term the share price will fall back towards the placing price, but then new investors will come on board and the share price will march on again
It was always going to happen - a major dilution event to fund crofty, which would drag the share price down temporarily - now is the opportunity in my opinion
I'm in no way concerned and have been taking advantage of the current share price. For the general market, I think people have become tired of the "jam tomorrow " promises andvI understand it, it's been a frustrating 12 months for me.
But the mine is now fully developed, so all tgat remains to be seen is how the mill copes with a continuous high level throughput - tgat will begin to become clear in the next few weeks.
The weather is now improving in Newfoundland as spring begins, making transport easier.
Indeed, I ve seen that today, the strange thing is it's not a location that I would expect to see much if any Killas - what are your thoughts on that?
I see Croftyhave submitted an application for priorapproval to construct the discharge point into the red river
Cornish Metals have released on Facebook this morning that they have finished drilling at Carnkie. One of their photos is of a very nice looking section of core, with 3m of what looks like very heavily mineralised core. Considering that the drill would have been straight into granite, it looks very interesting, with lots of quartz veining.
It's all very good news for this company at the moment. 100% recovery of cassiterite has never been achieved and never will be achieved anywhere. Even a mine like South Crofty which has probably the most amenable ore in the world couldn't achieve that - but they did get to 90%. One of the biggest problems with cassiterite is it is prone to sliding, I.e. it becomes very fine, through griding and friction in pipelines and pumps, which makes it incredibly difficult to recover and the lower the ore grade the bigger the problem becomes.
It's jumped again to $51,400 today
You're using the wrong recovery figures, the 61% recovery refers to the metallurgical recovery of tin from the ore in the processing plant. I.e. 61% of the tin contained in the ore going into the processing plant is recovered, 39% is lost.
During q3 the mill produced 220t of concentrate containing 136t of tin (61.8% concentrate- that is a fluke that concentrate grade is similar to the recovery)
But basically for annual production on all things being equal then the production of tin is simply 136t x 4 = 544t
The new website was launched overnight
No its far from settled, the 25% gold payment is for the initial $30 million mi e funding in 2010, which looks to have a 40 year term to it.
I'm very happy,
I'm still here
