Worldwide and has revenues of $26 billion
Lamprell has won a $200m contract for wind farm construction. - equivalent to the mkt cap of the company!
See today’s rns for full details. This should provide good support for the sp over the coming months.
Well it’s encouraging to be told that there are investors happy to buy into SPE at over £10, but why, I wonder then, aren’t they taking up shares now at around 950p? Is it a question of a major purchase and the stock just isn’t likely to be available
Peel Hunt have initiated coverage with a buy rec’ and a target price of 140p
"Not a bad company, the current valuation makes the shares expensive though" It's an excellent company and the shares are far from expensive when viewed by a potential bidder- a much bigger company with its own sales forces who could make a much bigger profit margin than Eco is able to do via distributors.
I strongly recommend everyone to read and digest the well researched and well written article in the link supplied below by poster Gardner. My thanks to him.
Timothy, what makes you think Ennismore and Forum are connected? I know Forum compare their performance with Ennismore, which is an odd selection, I agree, if it's random, but then they compare with HSBC too and I can't think that they're linked in any meaningful way.
" If the price starts to creep up, they can either sell a few shares they have already borrowed to depress the price down again or they can take out a further short position to sell a few more and manufacture a price drop. What is static about that????" No, of course that's not static, but that's exactly what I was saying. They have to keep increasing their short position to overcome any net balance of buys over sells. If the short position were to remain static it would not act as a cap as tricky initially indicated.
Fair comment, tricky. I don't disagree with that.
"The mere fact that there is an open short position will be putting a cap on the share price" I don't agree. If it's a static short position why would it act as a cap? In that situation, surely, it's the balance of other trades that will determine the sp movement. Only if the short position is being increased to counter any net balance of buys over sells will it act as a cap. This is what Ennismoore are doing currently - increasing their short position day after day. Eventually they'll 'run out of steam'.
"the shorters will win, again." Ennismore haven't won once yet. They need to close their positions at a price below their shorting/ selling price in order to 'win', as you put it Mr BB, and that is not likely to be too easy. They missed their best chance a few months ago at around 40p.
from Numis who recommend BUY and have a target price of 219p - coo! And the sp has responded.
Surely this is worth way more than the current share price, so easy pickings for those prepared to be patient.
