“ the move sends a clear signal that tolerance for the vaccine-hesitant has come to an end.”
“ Austria’s novel public health experiment is aimed at convincing more people to get the jab”
“ Other countries are considering similar measures. Germany is looking into introducing legislation later this week that would impose tougher curbs on people who haven’t been inoculated, including requiring tests to go to work and take public transportation. And in the Czech Republic, the government is considering several options of stricter rules for people who aren’t vaccinated—including a similar regime to the one imposed in Austria.”
…the US is also putting pressure on the unvaccinated:
Reuters
“ subsequent White House guidance requiring all covered federal contractor employees to be vaccinated by Dec.”

“ the government will announce more details shortly on how it can show boosters have been taken by UK citizens."
… this is what the travel industry has been calling for btw
"the government will announce more details shortly on how it can show boosters have been taken by UK citizens."
lockdown is for the unvacinated in Europe, it won't affect the airlines as the vaccinated can fly...
.. l have not heard or seen anywhere that Airlines will be restricted again in the future..
..don't believe the hype
…
Dunno what to think, plenty of energy for the SP can swing up massively but no follow through & too much over head supply, .. today we even broke above the 7 day down trend which for a dead in the water stock doesn’t happen if it’s in terminal decline… it’s as if the sells dry up and there are no more sellers then the price then punches up but just gets hit on… at this level it is a battle between sellers and buyers for me the SP can punch higher once again and with a catalyst which there are plenty on the horizon, the finances now come down to Q4 and there are no indications of any real worries just a question mark over the management of debt… the short interest is in retreat, you never notice them getting in and you never notice them getting out, one day they are there & another day they will be gone, they don’t move the market when they do and the only time they can do this in volatility so l hope this is the reason the price is being knocked about spiked up and then hit on..
..keep it real
IAG - 3rd Quarter Results:
“Current passenger capacity plans for quarter 4 are for around 60 per cent of 2019 capacity”
all the financials and forecasts for Q4 must be based on this number, it looks like a low bar to get over..
..so is that is how the shorts get out..!

“We’re accelerating our path out of this pandemic,” President Biden
The first results, from Merck and Ridgeback Therapeutics, were released in October and will be considered by an advisory panel to the Food and Drug Administration in December. That could lead to an emergency use authorization in the U.S. by the end of the year.

Once Pfizer applies, the FDA could make a decision within weeks or months.

we have the tools to defeat covid, with the Pfizer story it looks like we have the intent to defeat covid...
..maybe it is not the news back now the lack of news, Cop29 maybe you were right, now it has finished the vacuum it has left the share price can now manoeuvre...
..l have been thinking this morning, it is not the news but how the news affects the market and when it affects the market, but now l can add even the absence of news..
Sund, that isn't how it works like that, IAG can and never and will never reassure the market and it cannot be seen doing so as far as l know..
@livestock, it is going to be harder to be unvaccinated in the future, this is a great push for vaccinations... imo
Q4's target:
· Current passenger capacity plans for quarter 4 are for around 60 per cent of 2019 capacity
with Q3 10days ago Q4's target seems easily achievable, projections from Q3 to Q4 must be working on these numbers, is that a fair assessment?
Sund, RI just remains an opinion without content...
Google Serch:
"hsbc aviation analyst andrew lobbenberg"
--> second result, after linkdin:

Success Rate: 50%
you can read the rest yourselves, it makes poor reading DYOR...
...
there really are some gullible people here, chiefly BB... l am sorry BB but you really don't know much at all, an analyst really doesn't know more than anyone else, as pointed out here that would be insider trading... a journo, which is evident in the article, has done no research as there is zero content in this article and is based solely on an unquoted sentence:
"As the outlook for long-haul travel improves, HSBC aviation analyst Andrew Lobbenberg said a rights issue would be the fastest way for the aviation giant to tackle its €12.3billion debt and allow it to restart paying a dividend. "
and
"He said the only alternative to tapping shareholders as the company tries to boost its credit rating is gradually paying down debt 'using cash flows'. "
if we analyze what is being said here, "the fastest way... to tackle its debt... and repay dividends", yes correct from an analyst point of view as it is an accounting trick that balances the books and starts paying dividends... it is real based on anything concrete, no... just the ramblings of a second rate analyst and a gullible journo who isn't doing her career much good..
BB, thank you for your time but you are not needed here, we, the invested, are more than capable of and apparently better adapted to discussing things amongst ourselves without the interference of you..!!
