there really are some gullible people here, chiefly BB... l am sorry BB but you really don't know much at all, an analyst really doesn't know more than anyone else, as pointed out here that would be insider trading... a journo, which is evident in the article, has done no research as there is zero content in this article and is based solely on an unquoted sentence:
"As the outlook for long-haul travel improves, HSBC aviation analyst Andrew Lobbenberg said a rights issue would be the fastest way for the aviation giant to tackle its €12.3billion debt and allow it to restart paying a dividend. "
and
"He said the only alternative to tapping shareholders as the company tries to boost its credit rating is gradually paying down debt 'using cash flows'. "
if we analyze what is being said here, "the fastest way... to tackle its debt... and repay dividends", yes correct from an analyst point of view as it is an accounting trick that balances the books and starts paying dividends... it is real based on anything concrete, no... just the ramblings of a second rate analyst and a gullible journo who isn't doing her career much good..
BB, thank you for your time but you are not needed here, we, the invested, are more than capable of and apparently better adapted to discussing things amongst ourselves without the interference of you..!!
