Did anyone sign in to see what the retail price of the product is?

Not sure if anyone else has seen and read the latest research note from turner pope following yesterday’s RNS.

It puts a bit more colour on the announcement and suggests that over the next 3 years the licensing deal could be worth c15% of annual overheads

I understand overheads amount to around £3 million a year. If I am reading this correctly that would mean passive licence fee income of around £450k p/a if twist meet their sales forecasts

It is not clear to me whether Turner pope have factored in the profit from manufacturing aspect of the deal but I suspect not as they only mention passive income.

I rarely post, but have been a shareholder here for several years and am still considerably underwater.

I picked the following up from an RNS announcement this morning by aptamer group (AML)

· New customer

Contract to deliver binders targeting a protein associated with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) for use as diagnostic tools and to support future therapeutic studies, expanding Aptamer's presence in high-value oncology applications.

The contract is relatively small with the unnamed customer agreeing to pay £90,000 for the contract due to run from January to April 2026.

May of course have nothing to do with us and would welcome thoughts

I invested in this stock in 2021 at 15p

At that time there were approximately 156 million shares in issue subsequently diluted to 3 billion in 4 years through Pouldens inept management.

I have been investing for over 40 years and seen many consolidations, but only ever seen one or perhaps two that have benefited shareholders. The purpose of the consolidation is so that RP can continue to dilute.

Poulden is standing for re-election. I will be voting against and would urge others to follow suit.

Whilst I understand and do not disagree with the aim and purpose for the consolidation, it is the timing that was most ill judged.

Had Vlad waited 2 or 3 weeks the share price would have been driven forward by the catalyst of the impending clinical trials and first patient. First injection is probably still a month or so away.

The share price would have been higher than it was. How high is anyone’s guess but quite feasibly not less than 3p to 4p.

That would have been the time to announce a consolidation (whilst the price had momentum). A far lower conversion would have been required to achieve Vlad’s goal of £4. Now it seems likely that he will actually only achieve a price post a 1/400 consolidation of around £2 before seeking to raise at a discount.

He should now immediately abandon his proposal as the timing is completely wrong and worse than ever.

The problem is he has now ‘lost’ the retail investor as we have been useful in raising the finance needed to this stage but do not have deep enough pockets going forward. Put simply the share price is unlikely to recover even if he postpones his consolidation as long as he is CEO. Vlad needs to do the right think and step down and stick to the science

Over 20% down on Friday followed by a further 20% down so far today. The market has spoken

Put simply Vlad has got it wrong again..

Next time he dilutes at 20 to 30% discount Vlad must include a clause that any institution benefitting from such a huge discount must be tied into the stock and unable to offload within 12 months. Otherwise it will only be a matter of time before he walks the share price back to a penny. Time for him to stand down as CEO and stick to the science.

This RNS is a shocker! I will vote against. I have been investing for over 40 years and have never yet benefited as an investor from a consolidation. The only reason the price is where it is is down to the financial incompetence of Vlad. Full stop. The Mint CLN was a fiasco and is the only reason why we are up to 1.4 billion shares in issue. The increased share price will only allow Vlad to dilute the retail investor once more with heavily discounted placing and new shares being issued like confetti. Well f**k you Vlad. I am voting against and stuff the consequences as eventually my holding will become worthless anyway.

I can confirm that the purchases shown in chubs message timed at 14.28 below are in fact buys as one of them was my final top up.

As a long term shareholder who is about to top up would you mind giving me your take on the following from the RNS please?

This will follow the initiation of the adult clinical trial in HEMO-CAR-T at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas, which is expected to commence later this year

Whereas on the 9th of September RNS the trial was set to “commence shortly “. That was 3 weeks ago and I have been expecting an announcement of the commencement of clinical trials for the last week or so and thought today’s RNS was going to be what we have been waiting for.

In view of the above do you still think the commencement of the trial is imminent or do you take the wording to imply a further delay which would seem to be the interpretation of the shorts?

Either way in my view today’s price still represents a good entry point and an opportunity for me to lower my average which is 6p

Brilliant news expect to see a rise tomorrow. I agree it should have happened years ago . Basically, after what happened to him at Coro he has jumped before it was forced upon him.

Good riddance. I have voted against every time he has stood for reelection over the years.

AS needs to take note at what has happened today at Coro where 73% of investors have voted to remove the CEO and he has been forced to leave to company. Smith has currently lost the retail investors and needs to turn things around and regain trust and quickly.

Brilliant news. Need to get rid of him at Echo too. Bring back James Menzies and this will fly was suspension lifted.

Someone below told AS to stop being a greedy T**t and put shareholders first. I kind of agree with the sentiment but I think it goes further than that.

We have an incredible piece of science. A fantastic opportunity to help patients with little or no help. I personally have a friend who has a terminal diagnosis and only a short time to live.

So I say for gods sake AS stop thinking of Avacta as your baby, stop being a greedy gut and recognise that the science needs to be placed in the hands of big pharma to speed up the process of licensing deals ten fold. What you are doing is too slow and it is is possible you will rue your decision as retail investors have long memories.

Why did you restrict new retail investors but extend the placing to institutional investors who will rinse the shares at the first opportunity

I am a shareholder and until yesterday a big AS fan but he has misjudged the market terrible.

AS could have raised this amount from existing retail investors at any time since December at a much higher price with far less dilution. I appreciate he would have issued a prospectus and that takes time, but he had the time. He has just chosen to remain silent for three months.

I very much respect his worth as a scientist but sadly I think the company needs a new CEO to take care of finance decisions and communication.

All that will happen is that the vast majority of placing shares will be forward sold and why wouldn’t they be at a discount of 34%! Who will snap them up or who snapped them up. Yes us dopey retail investors.

AS needs to explain to us investors whether institutions are tied in for a period or if not why not.

Yes he now has the funds and the science is great, but sadly he has lost the trust of the retail investors which is massive on aim!

What is happening in Japan Angus? Why no update. Clearly it can’t be pulling any trees up or Angus would not be predicting a loss.

The AGM is 26 June at 1.00pm.

Resolution 1 is to re-appoint Martin Hull. This is an opportunity to remove him for anyone dissatisfied with his performance and his rather inflated salary, which will sooner be higher than the market cap ffs!

I will be voting against.

Let’s look on the bright side.
At least Lombard are going to lose their money and Martin and Parsons will lose their cash cow lol

Now is the time for Martin to lower his salary to a less ridiculous figure more commensurate for a company of this size

One thing is for certain. This share price ain’t going anywhere until Lombard are out! I have seen them do this with so many shares over the years and yet companies still do business with them!
