Barge - A flat bottomed boat for carrying freight on canals or rivers either under its own power or towed.

Ship - A large boat for transporting people or goods by sea.

Of course you do, so does more commercially stable and predictable organisations. Their plans won’t be built on hot air either.

Surprised JW wasn’t a guest speaker, being the Energy sector market leader with a shovel ready gas storage project. Govt missed a trick there.

IM is nothing more than a hole in the ground with one of the key enablers being the SNIP, which would need to be reversed at a significant cost to mutual energy. Along with all the other regulatory challenges and hurdles ( ML aside ) its going to take a little more than a video from JW to move it.

Either way if it even started today, you’re 4-7 years away ( pie in the sky estimate ) from construction complete.

Do some research on what key enablers and regulatory approvals are for energy storage facilities, rather eye watering and costly. None of which have even started and they all need consultation and where IM is concerned, and interlock into the grid. That’s not done overnight either.
