We do not invest in projects involving extraction, production, transportation and refining of crude oil, natural gas or thermal coal with very limited exemptions. These exemptions include projects improving efficiency, health and safety and environmental standards (without substantially increasing the lifetime of assets), for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) or Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage (CCUS) where projects will significantly reduce emissions over the lifetime of the asset, or those supporting the decommissioning of existing fossil fuel assets. We will also not support any fossil-fuel fired power plants, unless part of an integrated natural gas-fueled CCS or CCUS generation asset. This policy will be updated over time to reflect changes in government policy and regulatory standards.

Hi, I didn’t say IM would win the JR, what I said was I wasn’t concerned if it was granted or not as it’s far from the golden egg.

The very specific point I’m making is that there is a mountain to climb commercially, legally, regulatory and with no framework or plan in place for the caverns either for LNG or Hydrogen it’s all hot air and always has been. Is there opportunity, of course there is but most here are in denial of the true picture and it’s comical at best to read some of the garbage spewed out thinking it’s right.

All permissions are for LNG storage. Not Hydrogen. That’s very clear from DFE, you can go and read that yourself, or get someone to read it for you . Just because it fits the narrative for JW, doesn’t make it right I’m afraid.

They’re proposed Gas Caverns. Nothing more. RIGHT back to the start if they want to change it, so another 4-5 years of admin, public consultations, licences ( Land easement ;) ) and the utility regulators to consider. How exciting!!….

Oh and don’t forget the key enablers!… I hope JW has an army of people on this shovel ready project!… not.
