Yes Gordon an ACCA qualified accountant with 20 plus years experience, although i only do my own accounts these days, as i run an little manufacturing company.

NPV is after all costs and discounted back to todays value NPV10 is using a 10% as the discount facture per year. So 100m net profit year two will added as 90m NPV today etc.... You work the profit each year and then discount back to todays value using the % discount.

Means after costs and taking into account inflation. So they are saying this is going to make $725m value for its share holders.

NPV is used in decision making to give a value to a project in todays money to decide if a project is worth doing or not.

A monthly discounted cash flow from this NPV calculation would be a real interesting read as it tell us how and when it will be funded, when wells are expected etc etc.

I would love to be in their CFO seat right now modeling this. :)

There has been bugger all volume in all this drop it just the MM fishing for trades against no buyers. US larger (50m plus) LTH are not interested in selling.

New share holders are not buying into the story, like i said they need to market the share, that they basically made it a new company and lost or the historic marketing data out there on the company by changing it's name. Stupid decision with out the marketing budget. When they speak to people they will go never heard of you...... It ****ty name to spell as well with a previous company using this name data coming up when you google it.

When you spend on R&D you normally create an asset in the balance sheet, an write its costs off against the future revenue it creates. But RR has a very conservative R&D policy and writes lots of R&D all off immediately look at the accounts.... Item 4 operating loss page 17. So they are developing an SMR but not capitalising the costs.

This is why RR balance sheet looks like crap all the time, the reality RR has billions of valuable / useful R&D completed and written off, this reduces tax bills.

Hence you have company that is cash flow positive, but making losses... A highly unusual situation caused by its highly conservative accounting policies.

I think the R&D policy is in no small part is the reason it can on statutory accounts be lose making but pay a dividend as they re-write the accounts internally capitalizing the R&D to show a profit and pay dividends... but that is an educated guess as it something i have ever come across before but have been reading up on.

I think we can all agree the company is seriously undervalued at this time by multiples, convincing the wider market of this is the job of the directors. They need to market the share and opportunity harder, which will be easier and may happen once the structure is 100% in the UK AIM.
