Hang on, the UK SMIP is only just starting, of the 12 million a huge percentage must be very recent. You could argue CC have been in India the same amount of time, how many end points have they installed there?

'Not Spots' was a CC 2016 Buzzword jake. There is no evidence they exist, not to the extent of stopping meter comms anyway. Shanty Towns across India would be complete dead zones if they really did exist, and we now know that is simply not the case. Volume deployment, on scale of CC's failed business model, looks more doubtful by the day now.

I think to be able to classify another supplier as competition, you should be in the game as a contender. Trilliant are clearly doing everything JC says CC will be doing in 3 - 5 years. Too slow, and too late, the real operators are running rings around CC here, and in India.

It was confirmed to me, not through CC, but with the presentations after the event. It was only after some on here started coming up with the idea that 'Not Spots' could increase dramaticaly as the SMIP rolled out, did JC himself start to adopt the same Rosey outlook. It is a bit of a worry when the Executive Chair starts to use unsubstantiated claims from a public forum. Oh, and the £6.8 Million price tag was the other dead give away.

No jake, it's not a nailed on contract. The UK SMIP Southern was awarded to Toshiba, Connode are involved under a supplier agreement. Toshiba would be able to pick and choose whoever they want to supply the Comms, it would have to work that way as CC may well not be around long enough to see this through anyways.
