Technos extra margin will only cost L&T/CC. It does prove though that they found an acceptable offer, cheaper, which is where the market will go when things take off.

It's all been held jake, India now don't want Chinese involvement in anything. The main aspects in all this for me are, firstly the contract was awarded to L&T/ CC then withdrawn as they could source cheaper. That in itself requires a complete lack of trust, but there you go. The Chinese offer was accepted, this is in the middle of Modi's ' Made in India ' campaign, and it was agreed at a far reduced rate. It also clearly works.
So, it may come back, as originally placed, but costs will have to be agreed lower than they won at. Had L&T not waved the Chinese flag, this would be done and dusted. I am sure one or two think CC would be inside whatever meter gets installed. I hope that doesn't start White Label man off.

In the great scheme of things, Jammu and Kashmir are close to commence. The whole unknown is what India deem as 'close'.

I think the £7 million pa expectation number kept being quoted in previous years , but no idea if that was correct. If running costs are circa £375k pm, I will be looking for a higher range between £3 - 3.5m. They said it will be the best monetary performance ever this year, it just needs to be consistent now. Going £4.5m to £1.2m pa is no good to anyone anymore.

There will be no barriers for newcomers Roddy. Simple, low cost solutions that are interoperable will be deployed. Based on some reliability, but the main driver will be cost. CC may very well have pole position right now, although the real competition hardly entered the time trials. As ever, we will know nothing until the market starts in volume. I will say though, I can't see anyone taking CC out for their Tech offer.

250 million to deploy, CC's latest order took over a year to place. To say things are moving is a bit of a stretch. Plenty of Can Kicking to go I feel, and I am sticking with no more CC orders of any worth in 2020. That should never be the case given only one from 3 has landed from last year, but lets see.
