SAME as every other point in time tonlie. Small, niche contracts, exactly as we see today. Volume will be left to the players who can handle it. This has been my view for years now, so I'd say my forecast is absolutely spot on. On the other hand, your inane predictions over the years had the CC canopy half way across India by now . This tunneled vision is a good start point to understand why you have lost so much here.

I'd say being too big to deploy in its intended location is a bit of an information hole? Could be wrong.

And the point of it is?

Given CC relatively recently upped the DCU capacity to 200+ connections, I cannot work out why they would start on new tech development without the demand being made on them. Far bigger companies rely on DCU tech also, I don't know one that doesn't. There will be something behind all this, as ever it's just a case of waiting for CC to fill the information holes left from earlier reporting.

So, back to reality for a minute, this Gateway box still sits on a location outside the meter, bit like a DCU?

Things do take a long time, but the new order run rate is now the slowest it has been for at least 6 years, probably longer.
I'm not quoting you regards the requirement of DCU tech to be incorporated, that is something CC tried to do, and they would not have gone to the trouble if they were not ordered to. Whatever, it obviously hasn't worked, and India could well have yet another excuse to sit and wait until it does. As JC knows only too well, they don't need much of an excuse to do nothing. Come up with a better idea why they cannot land orders?

Delivery is all well and good on existing orders. The hold up is placement of any new business - 6 months and counting. Given the supposed instant cost savings, and ease of deployment, 6 months to wait for a single new sale is frankly absurd. If the DCU method isn't an issue, why would JC commit funds he admits are tight, into developing tech to negate the need for DCU's.
Simply put, he wouldn't. CC have clearly been asked to develop this, and I'd say your contact with them has flushed out a major issue. What India now see is the framework without DCU's. CC highlighted the benefits, but failed to mention the new issues. Incidentally, I am willing to bet India will be paying less per unit if and when CC get the size sorted.

Either that, or they are waiting for a supplier to produce tech that actually fits inside a meter.

Sadly, all those repeat orders are slowing to levels not seen for years. That is the simple fact, the uptake is nowhere near where the company, or potential investors, need it to be. It will be March on Monday.... 1/3rd of the 6 month window gone.

Given this BB is sometimes busy with old and new contributors, I think the recent revelation has stunned most to silence. Next week will see the 6 month anniversary since the last order placed. Without knowing it, I think this week may have given us the reason why. I keep hearing the heavy lift on R&D is done, the reality is far from it.
I don't understand how any new product could go anywhere near launch with such a basic fault. I won't be asking the company tonlie, I have heard more than I need over the years, and this confirms it all.

To be fair tonlie, this content is the only worthwhile contribution you have made over many years here. I can't believe the information is right, but then you have said it has come from JC himself, so it must be accurate.
The operational highlight was ' Launch of new Omnimesh Cellular products including Dual SIM Cellular Network Interface Card and In Meter Gateway for improved security and increased capacity ' ( that doesn't fit inside the box ). One of you must have this wrong. I am hoping it is you, but we will likely never find out.

But the Gateway doesn't fit inside the meter, that's what CC have told you. Even you can see the issue surely.

So, it does at least explain why the order run rate is at historically low levels. Meters are getting smaller, CC Comms box gets bigger. I have been trying to work out why, after all the proven studies, the orders simply refuse to come in. If the tech is available, India will want it and won't be paying more for it. The Gateway might work, it just don't fit in the box it needs to, genius.

Do you have any idea what you are saying here? There are still things up Poles, you being one of them.
DCU's were upgraded to accommodate some 200+ connections not long ago. What does 'Meter upgrade' mean? IF any of this has come from CC, you have been royaly fobbed.

It doesn't exist tonlie . It will only exist IF ordered and used, and guess what.
What did he say about your graph idea? He doesn't like graphs, as we know. It would take about 15 minutes to add to the landing page, think it will appear anytime soon?

Always a good idea to upgrade a new product you cannot sell.
