Ezhik - From my experience of life in sun the biggest issue is the booze, quite a few people we knew in Turkey forgot that they weren't on holiday and started early every day, it's fun but not something that you can do everyday of your life without suffering the effects.

We used to spend a lot of time in Turkey, although buses and taxis are plentiful which restaurant we used often depended on who was going to give us a lift home because we lived off the main road. We're in Spain at the moment and the cars here are all unique in their markings. I shouldn't shout though, I've done my bit to blend in, in my defence the wall was white and so is the car so it looks ok.

My view is they get their commission and a lot of people who use PCP can't really afford what they are driving and the contract keeps them tied to keep going back, but again I'm happy to be proved wrong if and when I change again.

You may know more than me on the subject, but the one piece of advice I did offer my friend last night is to make sure you get the car for decent length of time to test drive, I had one salesman who thought I was going to buy after a 5 minute drive around the block.

Very interesting to hear your comment about preferring to own, I'm the same as you, we were having this conversation last night, I've never done the maths on PCP and have been told my view is wrong. My son has just sold his Tesla, he liked it. I was talking to a Hyundai guy a couple of weeks ago, he said that even the wealthy customers don't buy top of the range EVs outright because they don't want to be fully exposed to the possible losses, said he has never sold one that isn't PCP. If I change again maybe I'd have to reconsider my view, I've got a Kona hybrid lovely car but it's down a good 10k in 18 months, but I enjoy it, I don't expect to get rich buying cars.

I suppose if someone doesn't have much money T212 or similar does provide them with an alternative to the bookies if horses aren't their thing, I know seasoned investors find the silly buys annoying, but it wouldn't make my judgement any better.

Captain, you along with everyone else here know more than me, but sometimes the small buys are leftover from a bigger order that couldn't be filled, I only know because It has happened to me. Just giving a fellow gambler the benefit of the doubt.

OSD - I'm (that's "I'm" not Imm, calm your excitement) not sure we can lift it, the captain probably has the strength of 2 men but I don't know that even with his enthusiasm that we stop this running around, as always, happy to be wrong, I usually am . On the upside the sun is warm and the beer is cool so I'm ok with the world.

Who needs Imm? We have all the excitement we need here , watching the SP bob up and down between.40 & .47.
