Thanks for the reply xtv2, hopefully they won’t be extending all summer
after reading the potential offer couple of times I'm still not sure about the timetable. Does GF need to come up with formal offer until the 3rd of June unless they ask for extension? These two paragraphs seems to contradict each other:
In accordance with Rule 2.6(a) of the Code, by not later than 5.00 p.m. on 3 June 2021, Ganfeng must either announce a firm intention to make an offer for the Company in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Code applies. This deadline can be extended with the consent of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code.
and
It is expected to take up to eight months for the Outbound Direct Investment Pre-Condition to be satisfied, such that in the event that each Pre-Condition has been satisfied (or alternatively waived if capable of waiver), the Agreed Form 2.7 Announcement should be made prior to 31 December 2021.
I agree, that’s why I sliced some, so it’s a win/win either way
Panderman,

otherwise I reckon that if we get a formal offer (not just a proposal) then the sp will move to say 64-65p
have a look at SAV, currently below their latest placing price for £10mil, I bought some on Friday after I sliced some here in case the deal fails and we go back to 45p
zephyr I don't think your math is correct, but either way the offer is 67.5p so if it goes through Bacanora shareholders will be paid 67.5p for their shares and Banacora will de-list (you probably won't pay any tranaction fee either)
here they write it up like a done deal lol

yeah I think it makes sense that we are below 60p now -
1. it's not formal full offer yet
2. it can take as long as 8 months
3. it's not certain although recommended by ind. directors and Ganfeng holds almost 29% + everyone who bought today and in the next few months will vote in favour
I think it's pretty poor offer too and BCN is shafting it's LTH, I for one only hold 2 months and will be happy to make 55%, if the offer goes through, thank you very much
Bid is at 44p now, while offer is at 43.95... wtf :D

Governments around the world should consider strategically stockpiling metals critical for energy transition technologies to avoid the “looming mismatch” between their climate intentions and the availability of such materials.
A new report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) today said that countries should act now to shore up supplies of metals such as nickel, lithium, and cobalt, in order to prevent threats to their energy security.

The report comes amid a raft of heightened climate pledges from nations planning to shift their economies away from fossil fuels.
This will require a massive uptake of battery technologies, which currently depend on scarce supplies of rare earth metals.
A typical electric car requires six times the mineral inputs of a conventional car, and an onshore wind plant requires nine times more mineral resources than a similarly sized gas-fired power plant, the report says.
“Today, the data shows a looming mismatch between the world’s strengthened climate ambitions and the availability of critical minerals that are essential to realising those ambitions,” said Fatih Birol, executive director of the Paris-based agency.
“The challenges are not insurmountable, but governments must give clear signals about how they plan to turn their climate pledges into action. By acting now and acting together, they can significantly reduce the risks of price volatility and supply disruptions.”

yeah PIs can't really affect it much, there are many undervalued companies on AIM, which nobody wants and a lot of overpriced companies that are popular, I believe that once we get momentum here it will fly, also I would be very happy with 80p EOY, obviously you can make much more % in a shorter period of time on AIM (in general) but most of the times you just end up chasing rainbows, I'm a happy holder of BCN
I reckon we will be around 60p+ by end of Q3, but that might be too optimistic, time will tell
sure mate good luck, hope you make profit somewhere else meanwhile, I have my core position here and will add once this moves
hmm I don't think it will be any different in the next few months mate, why don't you sell some and trade some short term opportunity elsewhere, this is definitely a long term play, not to be checked every day
anyway I think once we breakout to 50p on a good volume day this will attract a lot of new people since it will signal that the placing churn is done... won't be long imo
yeah I reckon if we would be dual listed on Nasdaq our sp would multiply in a matter of weeks, but I think I heard in some interview that they are not considering it atm :(
guys these articles from Motley Fool or Seeking Alpha or a complete waste of time, not even worth mentioning. They do about 10 min analysis (probably sitting on a toilet) - half of the content is wrong and half is generic. It's either written with agenda or by a halfwit. We have the biggest deposit in the world of a commodity that it projected to be in a big demand in the next few years and we are fully funded to production... how many companies there are like ours on LSE? I personally think 150mil after the placing is very cheap. Now I know it's different commodities, but what about Sirius minerals or GGP, which both had 1bn mcap at some time with no funding and production? BCN is a bargain imo.
Also I don’t know what else can Secker do at the moment other than to say what he already has, which is that both Bacanora and Ganfeng are confident that our licenses won’t be touched, as stated by president of Mexico and the government
As I said mate, time will tell, meanwhile good luck to us
