Where did you pick up this info?? Not advised to me as a shareholder. You make some very good points. Have you made them direct to the company too? If so, any reply?
Very interesting post. Thank you.
Haha! I guess if they knew anything they would be too busy trading to write this stuff eh?!
I am thinking of constructing a share portfolio to buy what liberum are panning! They do seem to have lost the plot. They write this garbage with impunity to gain publicity, but the author doesn't get fired when proved wrong down the track. Crazy stuff.
400p off its high. But let's not get stuck on the semantics of distress. The point is for a buyer that shareholders will accept a lower exit price from 850 than from 1250p. Which is why megadeals often follow a rout.. That's all.
Their sp is distressed just now! And the advantage of vertical integration is to control supply to your core business. Common business strategy.
I seem to recall that past market routs have ended when cash rich companies started buying others at distressed prices. What chance Apple using their oseas cashpile to buy ARM? Bit of vertical integration plus diversification now their products are running out of steam seems sweet to me....
You are shorting then I guess?! Disagree with your 'assessment' There is longer term money to be made but maybe not for day traders.
I am interested to learn how you keep tabs on the total bought in to date? And expect that in a more normal market than has been seen in the last 5 weeks or so, buying in these volumes would have driven up the sp. But it has at least been stable. So the gap between sp and valuation when finally released will be higher than might have been anticipated, which makes lxb a strong buy now IMHO. I must say they have executed the buy in rather cleverly and patiently and have achieved good prices.
Some unusually chunky sales gone through today, Low buys but sp up. No rns that I can see so far....
At last an overdue bounce. Not a huge miss on the last financials relative to the huge mark down. But analysts still have a target price of around 700p so about 30% uplift. Not many quality shares with that much upside.
Lonely on this board, anyone out there?! The revaluation was promised for early in the new year in the last financial announcement. So not so long to wait I think....
Today, contracts exchanged with south African retail group for 10000 sq ft on Sheppey. Plenty going on at lxb still. Looking forward to the valuation due for release this month...
I think many analysts have lost confidence in bvs BoD and only sparkling actual financials and strong forward guidance will change that. Until then they carry the underperform tag, sadly.
Good question but with world markets so bearish many institutions prefer to be out of equities until things stabilize.
So today after lxb announcement we all know that one of yesterdays 955k 'sales'was a buyback!! Big 'sales' volume again today. Will turn out to he buys again I guess...
Sales of 2m+ today, or not? 2 txns simultaneously of 955k both marked as sales. What's the betting they were matched? 1 buy, 1 sell ...
Looks like you were on the money. getting close to your 13.75 now. Maybe getting towards a buying opportunity on any market recovery...
...written up by Simon Thompson in Investors Chronicle today. Detailed analysis of LXB assets and potential valuation, plus the buy back strategy and plans to return cash to shareholders. Well worth reading
No RNs yet but from the chunky buying Early to day it looks as though, the buy back is underway again and they are having to pay a little more. Good!! Looks a solid floor under the sp now. Dyor.
