well 16az,,, my thoughts,
we are not exactly sure about how long the well was testing for on each test phase but Iam assuming it certainly wasnt continuous.
In basic terms when the well was drilled as a side track they would intially run a whipstock, http://drillingforgas.com/drilling/sidetrack/sidetracking-out-of-casing-with-whipstock.html
drill out into middle eoocene, while drilling it is required to pump a pre calculated fluid/mud weight for well control purposes but also for drilling turbine and assisting with friction while drilling through formation rock, the mud weight is determed on various factors such as pressure and temperature, i would estimate for this well the mud weight would of been between 10 to 12 ppg (pounds per gallon), although there would of been mud / fluid and drill cuttings return to surface while drilling some would be lost to the well and formation, barrels pumped and barrels returned to surface should be fairly easily calculated and as such we got an estimate of 1200 barrels lost to the well, i would 20% to that figure. watch this to give you an idea of what gets pumped through a drill strin, https://youtu.be/1HiBeLRsJoM
on the intial production tests the well kicked of fine purportedly 1400ish bbls, then 1100ish bbls with expectations around 700 to 1000 range i think for final production rates, its in my view that due to limitations with production storage and having to shut in production to change choke sizes that everything time this happened all the fluid heaving mud would of fallen at quite some rate forcing drill cutting / mud back into the production fractures creating restrictive flow paths, so each time they bring the well on line and shut it in its like yoyo effect washing mud / cuttings maybe a dropped spanner in and out of the formation, not good, i think they rushed it and some did say here and i agree that the infrastructure for gas off take etc should of been put in place first, but it could of actually been ok but its always a case of hindsight, lesson learned for the team.
They have a workover rig so they could go back into the well and clean it out or the well will just clean up itself.
Gas was pretty impressive though but gas through liquid wont lift mud.
Anyway thats my little spin on things, gla
