No one knows what the price would go to in a bull run. Each individual has to make their own assessment and allocate their funds in line with what they think is best for them.

It is fair to say though that Argo was in a much better position going into the last bull run than the next one.

I would expect another placing before then Suthy.

Why did they take 0 revenue in 2022?

Can they afford this endless testing? Why not run the testing live so they can at least make some revenue?

Why did the annual report take 6 months to produce?

Why does their news page show a date of "34 Jul 2023" - are they getting 2.6 times more days each month?

You're right Jamesy - the wording is horrible. This constant reference to "Hash Rate Capacity" drives me mad. It's just not a phrase you would use. The numbers don't lie and they've failed for months to mine anywhere near 2.5 EH of bitcoin.

The last sentence also annoys me - "I am also pleased with our economic curtailment programs that contribute to the stability of the Texas grid during periods of peak demand while simultaneously reducing our total power costs."

Is it reducing power costs because things are turned off, or because they are getting power credits? If the former, that's nothing to be pleased about, if the latter, how about some detail?

They are clearly treading water until the bull run - share price responding accordingly.

I still think this will run in a bull run, as will QBT, but I think these will be later stage runners and can probably use them as a near peak signal.

Guarantee they'll shoe horn superconductor/lk-99 into their next news release.

Suthy I just checked the 2022 annual report for qbt and it seems to have had 0 revenue. It's that correct? If so that is crazy. Glass houses and all that.

Yes, CLSK pushing the HODL at the moment. Decent month and new hash now online. Expecting them to carry on outmining Riot. Although I've looked at the monthly releases and it looks like next week we'll see a loss similar to the previous quarter for CLSK. Expecting Riot to show a loss and Mara potentially a profit.

Looking at the Q1 results, I think there's a good chance Mara sees a profit in Q2.

Mined 731 more Bitcoin than the previous quarter, and the bitcoin price was higher in Q2 on average than Q1. Energy/hosting and some other costs will presumably increase also, but I think there's a good chance of it showing a profit, which might see the share price move up a bit.

There is risk with them though.

Mining results poor for last quarter (639/676/460) - (only 410 for July) - yes they get curtailment credits to offset a bit.

I think a strong upwards move is coming soon, but I think there's still a little more in this dip first, and think indexes might retrace a little also before heading to ATH.

Although happy if it just runs - not convinced I'm cut out for the trading game - HODL seems to work better. Riot way overvalued I don't get it.

I opened a short on Riot yesterday - against my own advice of not shorting Riot. I feel it goes down to 16. Position opened at 18, stop at 19. If BTC rallies here you can thank me!

The reality is that this sector is unviable most of the time and propped up by fund raises. In the event of a severe recession funds will be hard to come by and the industry will consolidate.

This sector is all about the bull run. All three will do well in the run, but each has its own issues that will make post halving/bear difficult. Older machines will likely come offline.

If I took the best elements of each of those 3 we'd have a good company.

As I've said I'm expecting bull run this year followed by mega crash - which would take BTC with it. I hope to not be in any miners by halving - they are all in trouble if a halving happens with a low BTC price. Only those with access to very cheap power will do well.

It does look like it wants to dip before going up. I've seen all sorts of numbers mentioned. The lowest being in the 26 range. Very hard to play just now. Will probably buy the fear if/when a big dip comes.

Argo is now like a memecoin/altcoin. No fundamentals for an investment but could run to a nice overvaluation for those wanting to take a punt.

Yes global, the system is a disaster as you rightly say. Bitcoin may be a ponzi but fiat is worse, a good way to keep people trapped on the hamster wheel and keep 3rd world countries enslaved.

404, BTC is so heavily influenced by tradfi that I think it follows this more than is own path. My view is it peaks November or so.

That's my view and obviously could be completely wrong but always worth listening to different ideas.
