I would assume that data will be collected from day one and be reviewed, hopefully its consistent and meeting their expectations. They will know what the outcome is going to be very quickly , obviously none of this data will be forthcoming until completion of cohort

I was lead to believe that previous cohorts in this phase 1a were end of life cases who were selflessly giving their remaining time to science. Reading the eligibility for the new 1 a phase under the guidance of Dr Tap they must be quite certain of the safety profile as one of the criteria is as follows :-
Patients must be physically well enough that they are able to be mobile, take care of themselves, and engage in all but physically strenuous activities. For example, they must be well enough that they could carry out office work or light housework.
I realise they haven't been responding to previous treatment but that is one leap of faith going from deathbed to doing light office duties to find the MTD, that appears to me as 1b patients

B2HS2L Thanks for the document , i will have a read later this evening. I understand the process of trials and the need to complete them but if the data coming from the doses 1st 2nd etc is as stated unequivocal / consistent could they alter as its seems there is scope for change as shown in the P1b.
Just a question

From what I understand the new P1b is consisting of 3 arms 2 AVA6k 1 Conventional Dox which will give a straight comparison. My question is if after the 1st doses the AVA is showing markedly improved / reduced side effects would it be ethical for the control arm to continue dosing pure dox in the knowledge that there is something in another hospital which is far superior.

Now that should be an interesting 60 mins if nothing is forthcoming prior to the session.

I have not put a price I will quit but I have set a deadline of 12 months, if nothing has happened by then I will walk away with what if anything is left

Kevin I dont care how long the trials take BUT i would like to know where we are in the trial . Has Cohort 5 started that is a very simple question to ask and a very simple one to answer

There is nothing more to say or do , we just wait for an update. Hopefully its positive with Karen charging round the office strategizing as we speak giving Alan the time to get back to what he does best, playing with his petri dishes, test tubes and mixing magic potions.
