Chunky raise JPMORGAN RAISES IAG TO 'OVERWEIGHT' (UNDERWEIGHT) - PRICE TARGET 2.50 (1.45) EUR
Covid? If I remember correctly BA had cash in the attic and were doing everything they could to top any Government subsidising airlines such as Virgin. Then BA started to have less cash. Surely though it didn;t take this much debt to survive?
In the past BA used to buy their aircraft and fly them for 20-30 years. Ths would lead to high debt levels at first but the last few years of flying would basically be 'free' flying.alot of smaller airlines lease their aircraft so have no debt but no assets etc. Then there's Emirates who basically buy a bond made up of investors like the infamous CDO's. My question is has BA stopped buying aircraft? but have they debt from aircraft bought 20 years ago?If the debt is to purchase aircraft then this is a bargain. Anyone know?
Knowing what we know about the recovery in the airline world. Full flights and ever increasing ticket prices. The A380 writtten off only a couple of years ago has been dragged out of Spanish storage and pushed back into service. I have taken out a large chunk of IAG its way too cheap at this time in the cycle. and the economy is only getting stronger RR has performed better but now its the turn of IAG and their shares are half price too!
I've just topped u £100 a point. Airlins have been crammed this year and prices high
LA very positive sign. there has been a lot of director buys over the lat yeaf

The first Rolls-Royce mini nuclear reactor will be built in Europe instead of Britain if ministers fail to accelerate decision-making, the engineering giant’s boss has warned.
Tufan Erginbilgic said he was confident the Derby-based company’s small modular reactor (SMR) technology was still far ahead of competitors.
But he said time was running out for the UK to benefit from its “first mover” advantage, as Rolls has also held talks about deploying SMRs in eastern Europe.
It comes as Great British Nuclear (GBN), the public body set up to lead the UK’s nuclear power revival, is preparing to choose which SMR prototypes to support from a shortlist of six companies, including Rolls.
You just have to love how much debt has been paid off. A third in a year but not just that. RR had a facility with the export guarantee bank of a billion and RR had a further billion facility with the banks both of which RR have now decided it no longer needs. Such facilities cost money to have. So further savings for the next results.
Its not 6k now.
LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Rolls-Royce
(LON:RR) said annual profit more than doubled last year, beating consensus, and it forecast a further jump this year as aircrafts powered by its engines fly more, its power business improves and defence orders continue to flow.
