Wondery was purchased for $300 million dollars on projected $40 million revenue.
With Onerous contracts now ended. Revenue from the Adelicious acquisition already pulling in £300,000 per month. Spotify partnership to start in April. I am expecting revenue in 2026 to be around £100 million. Any takeover of the number 1 ranked video podcast company at this time would be closer to £20 than £5.
The wording from Stuart Last’s comments today suggests the posturing of the company to invite bids at a premium to the current valuation. The company is no longer just a Podcast network but a scalable platform for content creators. Hence any bid would need to be over £20 imo.
Apple acquiring the F1 rights is probably the catalyst for today’s rise. Apple is a major distributor of Audioboom content through its Podcast App. With Audioboom having the F1 Podcast rights until the end of 2026 it could lead to takeover talks.
The current COVID situation in India is the only plausible reason for the drop. The rollout will be affected in some way or another as it’s a prescription based model. People are having to spend their money on medical supplies as a priority at the moment.
Congratulations to all holders. I am sitting on over 20k profit @47.5p. Unfortunately my holdings in this share is in my dealing/investment account not my ISA. Does anyone know if on a Takeover acquisition will the same rules apply on CGT on profits over £12.3k? Or would I be able to transfer £20k into an ISA.
I think the newbie on this board cannot get his head around the 10p placings, hence he believes the SP will be heading south. Also the half year figures show the company made a loss. However that is inevitable as the Company is growing the business at an unprecedented speed. Once the profit takers are done we will be reaching new highs again!
