It may have taken 5 years , but looks like we might finally get the 2p part everyone used to talk about . Unbelievable what Andrew Prelea has done here
Personally I would advise against bombarding the Georgian government with disgruntled emails . If there’s already issues with the company , getting emails from upset shareholder will do us no favours . Just let the company get on with it . That’s what they’re paid to do
Here’s the story doesn’t sound like we’re being Considered . ZIMBABWE has licensed two diamond companies from China and Russia as the only foreign firms allowed to explore and mine for diamonds in the country after approving its Zimbabwe Diamond Industry Policy late last year. President Emerson Mnangagwa has increasingly favoured Russia and China in his investment dealings as other international investors raise concerns over the slow pace of reforms, and the country’s worsening currency problems. Zimbabwe is readying the re-introduction of the Zimbabwe dollar in the next 12 months. Mines Minister, Winston Chitando, said in an interview that De Beers and Vast Resources have not been given the green light for diamond exploration and mining. “It is not true that those two (that De Beers and Vast) have been licensed. I don’t know where people get that. In fact, none of those two are among those licensed,” Chitando said by phone in a recent interview. Alrosa, a state-owned Russian company, and the China’s Anjin now take their place beside RioZim and the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company – the latter mandated to own half of the shares in all new diamond mining ventures in the country – as the only miners of gems in the country. “The President has put the Zimbabwean interest at the heart of exploitation of those diamonds only accepting foreign participation by way of selecting companies from Russia (Alrosa) and China (Anjin),” George Charamba, Mnangagwa’s spokesperson was quoted saying by state media. Anjin is not new to the Zimbabwean diamond mining industry as it previously mined the Marange diamond fields until 2015 before Zimbabwe’s government decided against renewing mining licences for gem miners in the area. Zimbabwe, faced with an economy struggling for stability, is hoping diamond mining will help shore up its crippled foreign currency. Minerals are a major foreign exchange earner for Zimbabwe, with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) saying on Thursday Zimbabwe received $90m from royalty collections in 2018, boosted by platinum, diamond and gold earnings. “The revenue head contributed $95.67m against a target of $90m, translating to a positive variance of 6.30%. Revenue collections grew by 30.86% from the $73.11m collected in 2017,” said Zimra in a statement. The stronger performance of the royalty revenue has been attributed to the “… movement of international commodity prices…” after “… mineral prices surged during the first and fourth quarter of 2018. Major minerals like gold, platinum and diamonds production levels improved significantly owing to the formalisation of small-scale miners”.
I can see it now , he’ll end up giving 50% of BP away to get it funded to production . Exactly what he slammed Roy for doing with PP !
In AP’s defence he said we’d know in days maybe hours . It’s the first time line he’s stuck to since taking over . What a disaster , miracle needed here now !!!
Always nice to hear the man in charge use those words . Spot on interview by David , super excited and having trouble hiding it . Roll on Monday
Was tempted to sell today , but have a good feeling about the wireline results . Let’s hope we kick off 2019 in the black stuff . All those that hung in today to we’ll done and gl
Happy 2019 all What’s worse than fantasy trashing vast are ppl still ramping it . Sp is on its arse and only going to get worse the longer into jan it gets . Ap while he’s done some good deals has not performed as he should . Sounds like my wifes sister in why her life’s a mess ... always someone else’s fault . He needs to pull his socks up and I hope he does . Anyone relying on diamonds to pull us out of this should remember we should have been mining Bp last Christmas ( Ap’s words ) so don’t hang your hat on diamonds coming anytime soon . Bp’s Our closest money maker and that’s where focus should be .
Only bought in a couple of weeks ago , but hoping to share in the good fortune along with you all . Here’s to a prosperous 2019 fellow AAOG’ers Have a great Christmas all
Some very valid points raised and countered over the last 24 hours . That’s what’s good about this board . I still have faith in AP . My average is around where the sp sits now , so if I didn’t I could get out relatively pain free . People are right to feel agreived at what’s happened , me included But let’s see if he pulls us from the flames . The jury’s out Anyway I’m off to hunt oil while we wait for diamonds . Have a good weekend all , reconvene Monday 👍
Morning All
Definitely needs to clear this up on the podcast . I don't know much about Bergen , but I've heard they're on par with Darwin and I've never know a company come out well after dealing with those crooks . What's exactly in place to stop Bergen shorting the hell out of us . i can't see how that can be enforced , it needs clarifying along with a ton of other stuff .
Ian they didn't tell us because i guess a fair few of us would have sold rather than get into bed with Bergen .
I wont put another penny in here FHP until we have clear direction on where we're going , which i guess we'll find out in 30 days or so .
We're in this position because AP has stretched us to thin now it's time for him to pull it together ..... The clocks ticking
Sandcrab I don’t think being peed off with what’s happened over the last 3 months can be classed as a troll . Fantasy is just the balance to Fahp :) So what happens if T2 doesn’t come off . What’s the next step ? On the plus side we do have money now to move BP forward , so silver clouds and all that . Fantasy , Xmas targets still on ..... we’re just going to stick a decimal point in front of it
I think we’ve all realised things move slow over there , Remember we were supposed to be mining BP last Christmas and we’ve all be patient thus far . I don’t like the thought of Burgen having us by the short and curlys . Things might slow but time is no longer a commodity we have . I’m rooting for Vast and Ap but those rose tinted glasses are slipping off
Thanks for sharing the convo Angus . Tbh AP is great at letting us think everything’s going to plan , he’s convinced me several times this year . but it quite simply is not , you don’t lose 50% of your mcap in 3 months because things are hunky dory . If we don’t get T2 in 30 days we’re all going to be in a real pickle . Mth 1-historical share holder , mth 2-lawyer issues , mth 3 -change of lawyers , mth 4 - we’re out of excuses !! Priority is to start getting dirt out of the ground at BP . I’d like to see these mythical plans materialise at some point . In his last podcast he said there was stuff going on in the background that will make us sh’s very happy . Well decimation of the share price and today’s news has not made me happy at all . Can’t even say I’m looking forward to the podcast Monday either , it’s more blah blah blah . It’s time to walk the walk . Is AP a salesman or CEO we’ll find out soon enough.
I bought in last week marineville . Hopefully bring us more Christmas cheer than here . I like Ap but this last 6 months have been diabolical. Missed timelines broken promises . I don’t hold out hope that trench 2 will be concluded in the next 30 days . Ap needs to concentrate getting money in rather than p-ssing it Away on projects that are months /years away from generating any revinue
I thought the Aim rule was bury bad news on a Friday , release good news on a Monday . Happy to wait until Monday , should make for a bumper week ahead for AAOG
MKANGO RENEWS LICENCE FOR SONGWE HILL RARE EARTHS PROJECT IN MALAWI
London / Vancouver: December 12, 2018 - Mkango Resources Ltd. (AIM / TSXV: MKA) (the "Company" or "Mkango"), the rare earths exploration and development company focused on Malawi, is pleased to announce that the Government of Malawi has granted a further two-year renewal from 21st January 2019 to 21st January 2021 for Exclusive Prospecting Licence ("EPL") 0284 ("the Phalombe Licence"), in southeast Malawi. Mkango's flagship project, the Songwe Hill Rare Earths Project is located in the Phalombe Licence.
Evening all While not quite as big , the 56k buy marked as a sell was mine . Same as triumph really , been watching this for a while and seemed a good entry point with drill results imminent.
I was going to sell 3.5k worth . Just because I’d overstretched myself in the lead up to the licence. The rest were/are staying put . Regardless of the underwhelming reaction to the news AP has done a tremendous job so far . He’s done everything he said he would , landed the elusive licence, created new future revenue streams without dilution . So I have no doubt if he’s says we’re going to be a mid tier miner it’s got a damn good chance of being reality in the coming years . Sit tight there’s more twists and turns to come . Have a good weekend all
That was me Bill .... we’ll its seems there’s plenty to moan about . As for the unfounded personal attacks on certain posters . Take them up personally with them , this is not the place imply wrongdoings with absolutely zero evidence other than your own thoughts . For all we know cast and lee spent all day at the dealership hastily returning the bentleys they bought on release of the licence news :) . I neither know or care what they were up to . They don’t work for vast , and I’m neither their wife or boss . It’s no ones business . Lets leave the back biting to the other aim shares . I think we’re all disappointed we didn’t get the rise we all expected and had waited so long for . Personally I was gobsmacked we didn’t see at least .8 , so obviously there’s something wrong and it can’t be blamed on the market being down . Is it possibly because a placings on the cards , maybe . We all know we’re not exactly cash flush at the minute . If the share was at .1 no one would be complaining .., we’ll maybe one or two would . On another note ian wasn’t here yesterday either ... let’s get the pitchforks folks . Keep it friendly
