Hi Bubble2021 - I will be 'watching with interest ' this Tuesday & Wednesday. The only ever JR I have witnessed was by being in the public gallery at the Royal Courts of Justice London in 2019 in the High Court - Johnson v Westminster Magistrates Courts. In what I felt was an unusual decision the two High Court Judges after both sides had put their case the judges took out some 15 to 30 mins. & came back with a judgement & in so doing the original decision in Ball v Johnson at Westminster Magistrates was quashed.I would add that decision is now being challenged by Marcus Ball who is at present putting a film together as to why the judgement was wrong.Johnson by the way was Boris Johnson.
In summary in the above case the judges felt it was a clear cut case & judged on the day followed up by the publishing of the proceedings later.
If the judges feel that in the week coming there was no real justification for the case being put before them as it was deemed to be just to delay matters then a decision could be made this week coming.
A long explanation but hopefully you get the gist & I will be listening to the arguments to see if it follows what I had heard back in 2019.Regards to all.
Hi All - I have just had approval to follow proceedings next week but it is only allowed to those who have requested it so I am not allowed to publicise the link I have been given.
Those wishing to 'attend' please e-mail the offices of the Court of Appeal, Belfast today & you will need to explain why you wish to attend etc.
I will keep people posted.
Hi All - I am still waiting for confirmation from the Court of Appeals offices re next weeks IM JR appeal in the Court of Appeal to establish if our case will be streamed however below is the link advising which cases will be streamed as of today.
I have been advised this afternoon, following my call to the office of the Court of Appeal, that there will be an update next Monday when they list the cases that will be streamed & I will be getting an e-mail to update me.
I would add that the new procedure is that an application has to be made to the Judge which is what I have done others must have also have also applied I am guessing. Finger's crossed.

'Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome representatives of UK Export Finance (UKEF) led by its Chief Executive Officer Tim Reid to our Belfast yard. The group was joined by our Chief Executive Officer John Wood and our Chief Financial Officer Arun Raman for a tour of the site including a visit to the first cruise ship to enter our world-famous dry dock for a refit this year.
The UKEF team received a guided tour of both the new build and ship repair facilities and had the opportunity to see Harland & Wolff’s five-market, six-service strategy in action. The yard is a hive of activity with projects underway across all our sectors; from repair and new build activities in hashtag#Commercial, refit in hashtag#Cruise & hashtag#Ferry, groundworks for our new fabrication hall to facilitate our work in hashtag#Defence, and preparations for the imminent arrival of a floating production vessel in hashtag#Energy.
The UKEF team was also provided with an up-close look at recapitalisation ongoing at the yard to support our work on the Fleet Solid Support (FSS) contract. Members of our senior team were delighted to provide insight into our recent milestone of reaching one thousand employees across the group, and the launch of the Harland & Wolff 2024 apprentice scheme which aims to provide greater opportunity than ever before for careers in UK shipbuilding. Edit: Looking positive for a future deal.
Currently the total trading on LSE was 653,505 & the London Stock Exchange 672,001 so not far apart allowing for timing differences.
Detailed below is an extract from an earlier RNS re the JR Appeal which means it is only 2 weeks this Tuesday that we will possible know the direction of travel the appeal will go.Hopefully a positive decision for H&W with no further appeals allowed will help resurrect the current derisory SP.
'Harland & Wolff Group Holdings plc (AIM: HARL), the UK quoted company focused on strategic infrastructure projects and physical asset lifecycle management, announces that, following today's hearing, the 6th and 7th of February 2024 have been set aside for the appeal hearing.'
This morning is looking blue with a number of chunky Buys hopefully this will continue. An RNS with positive news may be around the corner. We can always live in hope.
