On the termination of the right to conduct geological exploration of hydrocarbons on the territory of the Republic of Moldova,
with their subsequent exploitation

Based on art. 32 para. (1) let. a) of the Subsoil Code no. 3/2009 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova, 2009, no. 75-77, art. 197), art. 9 para. (1) of Law no. 1102/1997 on natural resources (Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova, 1997, no. 40, art. 337) and art. 5 pt. b), c), of Law 136/2017 on the Government (Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova no. 252/2017 art. 412), the Government
DETERMINES:
1. The right to carry out geological exploration works of hydrocarbons on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, transferred for use by the Concession Agreement for geological exploration works of hydrocarbons on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, with their subsequent exploitation, No. 245 of 02.01.2017, concluded between the Ministry of Environment (grantor) and "Frontera Resources International" LLC (concessionaire), is terminated;
2. "Frontera Resources International" LLC is obliged:
1) to return to the Ministry of Environment the original copy of the Concession Agreement for geological exploration works of hydrocarbons on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, with their subsequent exploitation, No. 245 of 02 January 2017;
2) to return to the Ministry of Environment, the management of the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources, free of charge, all geological and technical, project and other documentation relating to the object of the concession, production and personnel registers, as well as other documents relating to the object of the concession, in accordance with international standards;
3) to transfer to the Ministry of Environment, free of charge, all assets that were the object of the concession and those that arose as a result of the investments made by it, as well as those that cannot be separated from the object of the concession, without causing damage to it or diminishing its usefulness and capacity to use the object of the concession, according to its destination.
3. Government Decision No. 895/2016 on the concession of geological exploration works for hydrocarbons on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, with their subsequent exploitation, is hereby repealed;
4. Government Decision No. 1439/2016 on the transfer of the right to conduct geological exploration of hydrocarbons on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, with their subsequent exploitation (Official Gazette no. 1 art. 7, 02-01-2017);
5. This decision shall enter into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.
