With around 220 million in inventories the main debt increase was caused by:-

inventory accumulation, accelerated purchases of equipment and spares, funding of the critically important contractors and suppliers

These assets are not just a few mines scattered around the country that need to be brought into production, they are proven producing mines with clear accounting for each one showing the profitability and as a whole generating significant profit every year. The asset itself should produce a value that takes into account the profit it is generating

AISC for the Russian Assets as you know is a lot higher.

If anything loading the management etc onto KAZ only could elevate AISC slightly

The only way this works and retains any sort of POLY value is for the assets to be disposed of in such a way that it reflects it's NAV and also it's ongoing profits.

This would enable POLY Kaz to make acquisitions without debt.

4 billion as a transfer value of Russian Assets is a rough calculation which many have said we will not get.

There is a possibility the disposal could be tied to revenue / profit of POLY RUSSIA over a number of years which may enable the assets to be transferred at a sensible price and leave POLY KAZ debt free and a cash sum for acquisitions.

1 Billion or 2 billion will leave a company that will have nowhere near the dividend or target share price of POLY whole.
