RE: Galia well down 95% from Dec 20155 May 2018 15:32
Alma is part of the very old Argyll Field - the first to produce crude in the North Sea circa 1975.
Enquest drilled a few new wells to temporarily boost production in 2015 but as with all depleted assets that only boosted production for a short while.
ENQ said the field could be productive for 10 years so I guess they could drill a few new wells within that time frame to give production a boost.
With the expenditure on Kraken, Enquest have not been spending on assets like Alma over the past few years for prudent financial reasons, especially when POO was low, I guess now POO is recovering we will see a renewed effort to boost production at the marginal assets.
