ma5k, thanks for the message, i have been 'reading' from the sidelines. just observing. it doesnt take long to get the general picture, and obviously people are very frustrated. you may recall - i said this would go 8.6. and oh boy did the amigos hate me for that one?! they also said i was invested here... i am, to the tune of 1.6 million shares.
whether people believe me on here about my 1.6million... means nothing to me. my average... started from 15.4 and is now at 10.94.
so here is the deal, if you look on my tweets, i actually asked vemo 2 weeks ago how many clients they had... i had no response. i was never sold on vemo. its not a new model, gouvernment issues around it etc etc
the thing is this though... which most are blind too. if not... pretty much everyone. ffwd invests in pre-ipo emerging.. blah blah blah. portfolio is diversified. safety net is leap, and hopefully factom... our biggest investment.
DO YOU ALL THINK THAT EVERY INVESTMENT WE MAKE WILL ALL TURN INTO GOLD????
DO YOU THINK THAT JUST BECAUSE LORNE/MELLON HAVE MADE THEIR MILLIONS THEY ARE GOING TO CALL EVERY DEAL AS A HUGE GAME CHANGER????
get real people.
we just need 'one' investee to create apples on the tree. i still see that as factom, leap is our safety net.
emmac and selling off vemo, im completely happy with. infact im very happy to get rid of vemo. i would also like to get rid of yooya and DBC. yooya because none of us have a clue about them, dbc.... being going on too long.
Intensity.... its a 50/50 and they are eraly stage, but yes the recent rns about fast tarcking is great news but we dont own much.
its pretty simple... we need '1' good apple... '1', which can catapult this fund and then we can scale, and then there will be more multiple failures... as well as successes. thats what startups are about, i should know... i own one!
my safe bet is juv.... that one is seriously significant and can add to long term growth.
right now.... investers are dumping because they are bored... i completely get that, frustration etc, but with ffwd you have to look at the big picture... i look at factom (maybe intensity), leap is safe, emmac i really like and juv.
so thats 4 that i am happy with.
sp will probably drop a bit futher because of negative sentiment but i really couldnt give a damn about that, i still sleep easy at night.
infact - onve all the drama is over and nav rises... im more interested in the scalability in this fund and the direction it will go... that excites me.
thats my overall opinion... happy to debate.
