Always difficult to second guess exactly what is happening here. Sometimes it's just better to step back and not think about it too much. Back in March they led the market to believe that it should be a reasonably straight forward transaction and that MMA should be a company with it's house in order.

Personally I just think they want to line up the ducks accordingly.

As always there is the disclaimer that MMA may not complete. But the company's stance was that all parties want to make the transaction happen. I assume if this drags, the phase 2 exploration payments would have to restart again anyway?

The majors paid their dues for phase 2. It's not Omi's problem they then wanted to go into C&M soon after. It was sold that they don't need to explore this year as they overspent in phase 1 but that can't wash for this summer.

Can't wait for the majors to be paying $4 million again in the yearly. If that is the case they will want it to complete before then, maybe in best interests to drag if this is the case.

Big take is the silver element as well. Another one to add the basket. Of course very early stage but drilling to look forward too later on in the year. Argentina sounds like it could be something special and a rather large strike length as well. X 2 tier 1 potential projects?

The Cerro Negro mine in Santa Cruz Province, southern Argentina, is one of the largest gold mines in the world. It has estimated reserves of 5.74 million ounces of gold and 49.36 million ounces of silver. Wouldn't it be nice to be something similar.

Argentina though early stage has alot of potential. No where in this it says Colombia has fallen through, just that drilling will start immediately once the transaction is completed. To me I'm happy enough. It's either a filler or starting news flow, the fact it is not a Colombia update with delay is promising to me.

Sorry to hear that zapsnap. At the end of the day you got to do what is right by yourself. I hope for my sake though that it is the wrong decision, but for you, it's what you think that counts and that's all that matters, not what other posters on this board think.

Johnstoneo I don't think everyone is in same boat. The lowest this went was 1.90. A few well timed buys as Dr says could easily have you in and around today's share price. Personally I've added at all price points, but would much rather have bought them all at 1.90 right enough.

To be honest, life doesn't all revolve around Omi and I am happy, blessed and happy with the value of my Omi holding currently. Definitely not concerned or fretting. I believe the Omi team will seal this deal and I also think that some will also even be shocked what unravels.

Perhaps that's blind faith, perhaps that makes me an idiot but I am locked and loaded and happy with my decision making process. Same as few others, same as a few that aren't as positive.

Johnstoneo i confess the drill drill drill and going into c&m particularly irks me also. Even a leopard can change it's spots. Personally if I didn't think that this had a good chance of going through/ delay or not, then I'd be gone already. Even if it does get delayed by another month, I won't be too worried. There has been no RNS thus far to say it's fallen through, or another one to say this month that there is another delay so I think it's either through already or very close. I know tweets are not official news drops, but Mr Castro wouldn't be auditioning for a spaghetti western otherwise unless of course he is looking to break into Hollywood. It could for instance be another factor that is stopping the MMA news from being communicated. It's pretty simple really, if you don't think Omi can get that over the line, then probably shouldn't be anywhere near this. Flipside, if they do get it over the line, it is the biggest news for this company since the last Pepas drills. No other news would come close. Stick or twist.

Hilarious :D granted they have form for overstepping timelines etc but they said the end of May. It's not the end of May yet. And of course they had stated end of April, which we all thought was over optimistic. For all we know, it could be through already, they could be trying to sync up drilling with it, finance etc. Better sell now it's going to be October before we get anything :)

Still 3 days until end of May and there has been no delay RNS yet which makes me personally think it is very close. I think if it wasn't close we'd have got a delay RNS last week. Only the ones on the inside know what's happening. I do agree though, when you have form for delays, they need to start communicated timelines.

One step at a time of course but getting the project back is the biggest news Omi will have had in the last couple of years. As Fergie used to say it's squeaky bum time for Omi

So he's there for the drill coordination and getting those plans in place. He does seem to be going to extraordinary lengths though if it was to fall through. I have the faith, happy for folks to wait for proper confirmation to pile in. But Omi, only so long can string people along before they start to turn, meet your deadline this time :)

Was expecting a bit more today if I'm being honest but still happy enough. Omi obviously have to bring the pudding now to the table. Louis must have a sore behind riding that donkey for a few days :D will be sorer if they don't drop a real positive RNS next week. Clearly Louis has nothing to do with the MMA side of things. If he did, his side and Omi's side is done

Indeed Johnstoneo. Glad to have navigated this week without a delay RNS. Was feeling confident previously that they will finally hit a given timeline (this time) but obviously Omi have a form for saying one thing and it not panning out. Tuesday I assume would be a very very good shout. I think we will definitely get an update next week and if not it is very very close. If one wants to speculate it is probably the last chance pre- news we have been waiting for to grab some. Will the market see it that way, that's the question.

Hi Bhargav, always good to pocket some money, no harm in that at all. Tough times economically for people, rents/ mortgages are atrocious, cost of living is through the roof. It's not easy just now for folks. Always good to treat oneself, re-invest somewhere else etc. Good to see you are still holding sizeable amounts regardless of your sell today. Really good endorsement of the direction this is expected to go. I respect your honesty.

No anxiety for me. The deal is done and will be released when it's ready. Louis not going to be out sleeping with scorpions and doing his best rawhide impersonation otherwise. Next week seems nailed on if we don't get an RNS this week. Market sensitive info is en-route. 5p is cheap, and I am sure it's close. Though if I was on the outside, I definitely would be getting some pre-RNS, things have a habit of going a bit loco here on positive news.

Of course inflation has been sticky but analysts seem to think the scene is set for gold, anticipation in election year to have a couple of rate cuts, with the 1st most likely September, euro zone talking of cutting before US and UK a roughly 60% probability to cuts in June. That will fuel the gold price and help support/ prices for the miners.

I think if we don't see a delay RNS next week then i would take that to mean it is extremely close, last month's was on the 23rd (2nd last Tuesday of the month - 7 days before) so going by that logic realistically I'd be aiming for an RNS (21st to 23rd) and if nothing drops then, pick the day until the end of the month.

Realistically a positive one could also drop at any point now. We do know that a team of Geologists are at Anza, we know on the grapevine that Louis is in the country also.

Yes could be a good one, would be a travesty if the Omi team sneakily tried to drop an after hours/ Monday morning RNS into the mixer like 96er. Surely they wouldn't do anything so naughty...surely.
