Nothing new, but well-written as ever. "Imagine that the UK is the patient, and the government is the responsible physician... Now imagine you are the patient, and it is your physician that is making decisions about your health care based on guesswork. I’m certain such an approach would not inspire much confidence in your chances of being treated successfully."

Anyone else think the usage instructions ("Download Product Spec Sheet" at https://avacta.com/diagnostics/products/ ) are wrong? They don't mention emptying the contents of the buffer capsule into the extraction tube before putting the swab in.

On a perhaps unimportant side point, another video full of good content that could have been so much more professional. If Avacta had a world-class PR company, I might be inclined to think that Sir Al's terrible presentation quality was some sort of cunningly deliberate ploy, trying to give the impression that he's a scientist who can't be bothered with the niceties of looking and sounding good. But I think the case is that nobody's bothered to have a word with him. It costs nothing to raise the camera to eye level, to do the presentation in a room with some soft furnishings to make it sound a bit better, and to not have a picture growing out of your head. If the budget allows, get a ring light and a tie-clip microphone; even the YouTube vlogging kids know this. Maybe it's just me, and maybe it doesn't matter, but I'd hate it if anyone speaking in public for my company looked so amateur. Still, I guess if Sir Al can one day give me a comfy retirement, I guess he can do his presentations any way he likes.

Please remember that there's a movement on the political right to discredit all tests, vaccines and 'limitations on freedom', and this is what's driving a lot of the stuff discrediting tests, some of it decent enough investigatory journalism. See also Philip Davies MP's questions in the House. Note the website where Sonia Elijah's article is published (conservativewoman.co.uk). Just because someone's trying to find a scandal with Innova doesn't mean they have any sympathy with Avacta ...or any test manufacturer.

Sadly this is nothing to do with Avacta. Davies is asking about the LFT orders and naming names so that he can create a fuss about how much money the government is spending on them. He was one of the 16 MPs who voted against the last lockdown in January and has been banging on against any restrictions since the pandemic began.

For what it's worth, two of the three email addresses given down the bottom on that Medusa19 website are wrong As well. Doesn't fill you with confidence.

Search engines no longer sandbox new websites for long, if you set them up nicely and submit them through e.g. Google Search Console, they should appear in a few days. The Medusa 19 site is already in Google index (search for "site:medusa19.com" ), but might need a week or two to bubble to the top for searches on the company name. A few decent links from external sites will help. As Preefty says, getting the site up now is to ensure its established before launch.
